ArenaNet has announced that the Winter 2016 update has been deployed across Guild Wars 2 servers. The update is packed with a ton of new content and improved features. Most notably, players who have earned gliding in the Heart of Thorns expansion will be able to take to the skies across Central Tyria as well.

The latest developer blog on the Guild Wars 2 site deals with how gliding will manifest itself in Central Tyria. Players can expect to be able to glide from any high point once the basic gliding mastery is out of the way. Further, those players who have learned more advanced gliding masteries will be able to utilize them as well.
