Everyone has a fighting chance
The Heroes of the Storm team has been teasing out images of the next hero coming to the Nexus. Today, the picture came together with an iconic quote from Warcraft. The image came with one of the demon’s “signature quotes” said to Arthas Menethil at Stratholme, “I have been waiting for you. Are you ready to fulfill your purpose?”
The newest Heroes of the Storm event is now live in game. Called “The Fall of King’s Crest”, players from now through October 15th to take part. A new comic has been released that provides the lore behind the event and the Heroes that have been chosen to “star” in it. In addition, and as part of an ongoing series of videos for the BlizzCon 2018 Virtual Ticket, a new documentary has been released to shine the spotlight on those who create comics for Blizzard.
Heroes of the Storm (NA) has been updated to bring the Fall of Kings Questline into the game along with reworked heroes Kerrigan and Brightwing and the newly retooled Garden of Terror map. In addition, Ranked Season 4 and Team League changes have been made live for those on the competitive side of things.
We already knew that the Heroes of the Storm team was working to revamp the Garden of Terror map, the “home” of the Nexus character “Lady of Thorns”. The team has now announced a new event called Fall of King’s Crest that features the Lady of Thorns as she fights off the Raven Lord and his “sinister generals”, characters that will have specially themed skins included in the event as well.
The Garden of Terror map is going get a pretty swell update in the near future when big changes come to one of the least favorite Heroes of the Storm maps currently in rotation. To showcase the biggest changes coming, HotS “Steve” from the Battlegrounds team has posted a new vlog complete with gameplay action.
Just ahead of the start of Gamescom 2018, Blizzard has announced that the next “hero” coming to the Heroes of the Storm Nexus is none other than Diablo 2’s Lord of Hatred, Mephisto. He is a ranged assassin with such nifty skills as Skull Missile, Lightning Nova, Hade of Mephisto (teleport and damage) and heroic skills Consume Souls and Durance of Hate.
The latest update to Heroes of the Storm has been deployed. Most notably, it brings the game’s newest healing hero, Sally Whitemane, along with big changes to both Chromie and Stukov and some nerfs to Jaina. In addition to a number of skins for Whitemane, new emojis / portraits and sprays have been added along with a pair of new mounts.
If you’re dying to see how High Inquisitor Sally Whitemane fits into the Nexus metagame in Heroes of the Storm, you have a chance as she is now live on the PTR. The PTR update also includes some big changes to Chromie and Stukov.
Yesterday, we opined that the next hero coming to Blizzard’s Heroes of the Storm would be High Inquisitor Sally Whitemane from World of Warcraft. In today’s final teaser tweet, we know that she is indeed coming to the Nexus! “This world is ailing. Together we shall cure it.”
Blizzard loves their teasers, don’t they? In the latest series, we’ve been shown a very ornate gold-handled door that could literally be just about anything. However, today’s image is much clearer and it appears to be something straight out of one of World of Warcraft’s dungeons, the Scarlet Monastery. Specifically, it appears to be the “altar” that High Inquisitor Sally Whitemane stands in front of before you…you know…kill her.
