Hello everyone and welcome to the new year. I’m writing this on the last day of 2014 and instead of looking over our shoulder and summarizing what has gone I’d prefer to look forward and talk about what is yet to come.
Lord of the Rings Online: Update 15 – A Valiant Effort from a Reduced Studio
While Lord of the Rings Online hasn’t been around quite as long as other AAA MMOs, it’s still been around long enough for the short attention span of the internet to proclaim it ‘forever’. Launched in April 2007, the game has taken the Lord of the Rings story all the way to Gondor, with players getting to help Aragorn take on the Corsairs of Umbar. Update 15 also brings Beornings to the table, the first new class added to the game since 2008.
Guild Wars 2: PAX South Shaping Up to Reveal Big Things
The PAX South schedule has been released and it features an interesting panel on the main stage that will be hosted by ArenaNet co-founder Mike O’Brien and Guild Wars 2 game director Colin Johanson. Could it be the long-awaited expansion announcement? A new game perhaps? Speculate in the comments below.
Age of Wushu: Transcendence to Be Released on January 14th
Snail Games has announced that the next Age of Wushu expansion will be released on January 14th. Transcendence will thematically embody fate, loyalty, and conspiracy and will feature new areas and systems. In addition, Transcendence will include a fifth Inner Skill and new Forbidden Instances.
Pathfinder Online: Early Enrollment to Begin Today & Exclusive Screens
Backers and fans of Pathfinder Online will be pleased to hear that the Early Enrollment process will begin later today. Early Enrollment was delayed to allow more time for the client to pass the quality standards set by developers. In honor of today’s big event, Goblinworks has sent along four exclusive new screens. Elder Scrolls Online: A Look Back at 2014
Seriously, it’s the end of the year already? This year has flown by! It feels like it was just a couple of days ago I was helping to slay the werewolves of Camlorn and when it fact it was roughly 270 days ago. Time really flies when you’re enjoying every moment of it. Well almost every moment of it, waiting in the LFG queue is never an enjoyable experience. Within these 38 weeks since the game released, so much has changed and improved.
Legend of Silkroad: Service to End on December 31st
According to a notice on the Legend of Silkroad site, game service will officially end on December 31st. Publisher JCPlanet cites developer difficulties as the reason for the shutdown.
Warhammer 40.000: Eternal Crusade: Into the Void
