Mount & Blade Warband Released for PS4 and XB1

Console players will be pleased to hear that Mount & Blade Warband has been released for both PlayStation 4 and XBox One. Warband has been available for PC since 2010 and Steam reviews are ‘overwhelmingly positive’. The console port is the full deal including 32-player multiplayer, enhanced visual effects and texture detail. Console players can get hold of Warband for $19.99.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole Pushed to Q1 2017

Ubisoft has announced that South Park: The Fractured But Whole has been moved to early 2017. The game was originally set for release in December 2016 but devs “want to make sure the game experience meets their high expectations. The additional time will help them achieve this goal.”

Nexon Announces Oz: Broken Kingdom Mobile RPG

Nexon and This Game Studio are inviting mobile RPG fans to put on their ruby slippers and give Oz: Broken Kingdom a try. The new title takes players into a ‘reimagined’ Land of Oz to take the part of Ophelia Shen who teams up with beloved and iconic characters Scarecrow, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion.

World of Final Fantasy Tokyo Game Show Trailer

Square Enix has released a brand new World of Final Fantasy trailer straight out of the Tokyo Game Show that gives a nice preview of the story with a smattering of game play mixed in. World of Final Fantasy is set for release for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on October 28, 2016 in Europe and on October 25, 2016 in North America.

DayZ’s Dean Hall Working on an Unannounced Project

DayZ’s Dean Hall and his RocketWerkz studio has announced that they are hard at work on an “unannounced large scale project” that will feature multiplayer. This is a separate project from Hall’s Ion MMO. RocketWerkz is expected to reveal more about the project sometime in early 2017.

FIVE: Champions of Canaan to be Released on September 27th

Kingdom Games has announced that its next title, FIVE: Champions of Canaan, is ready for release on September 27th. FIVE: Champions of Canaan follows on the heels of last year’s FIVE: Champions of David, a single-player ARPG that follows the historical path of the Bible’s King David (you can read our review here).

2017 Odyssey Brings First-Ever Co-Op PvE into Game

The latest SMITE patch has kicked off the 2017 Odyssey that ultimately will lead to the World Championships to be held in January. Odyssey brings PvE into SMITE for the very first time and allows players to work cooperatively to take on MMO-style bosses and challenge themselves in wave-based survival modes. Successfully doing so can lead to a spot on the leaderboard, prizes and much more.

Bioware Gets a New Leader, EA Worldwide Studios Formed

EA has placed several of its game studios under the banner of EA Worldwide Studios. Maxis and EA Mobile are now the foundation studios in EA Worldwide Studios with Patrick Soderlund taking the helm. In addition, EA announced that EA Senior Vice President Samantha Ryan is taking charge of Bioware.
