Mortal Kombat Funko Pop figures are launching this November

If you’re looking to expand your Funko Pop collection with some fighting game characters, you better start saving your cash for this November. Funko have teamed up with NetherRealm Studios to announce a line of special Mortal Kombat-themed figures.

The base set of figures includes Sub-Zero, Raiden, Scorpion, Kitana, and Liu Kang, as well as a limited edition Chase Sub-Zero. GameStop are stocking two limited editions — a 6″ Goro and a double pack of Scorpion and Sub-Zero, where Sub-Zero is on fire while Scorpion is made of ice. There is also a flaming skull Scorpion figure, which is suitably exclusive to Hot Topic.

All of these Funko Pops are based on character designs from Mortal Kombat X, so don’t expect to see any figures based on the classic Mortal Kombat ninjas just yet. You can check all of the figures below, or over on the Funko Pop website.

Private Nakagawa: “A mysterious fortune teller who manipulates a crystal ball with Soul Power. Apprentice of a famous Italian fortune teller who lives in “Palazzo Mistero.” [In Japanese 神秘の館 Shinpi no yakata, Italian for “Mystery palace.” Implying a rather luxurious residence, as indeed Rose’s mansion is.] She flies around every place of the world to tell mysterious revelations. She has a polite and serious character, but can be a bit hasty. She doesn’t use Soul Power to directly attack, but by way of an object. She attacks her opponent from afar using a crystal ball. She plays with her enemy with tricky movements that resemble a dance. She’s powerless, but uses special powers, and looks like she’s having fun fighting.”

Spider-Man: Homecoming pre-orders will include the Superior Spider-Man costume for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite

Here’s some interesting news for any players who prefer watching their Marvel movies on their consoles. Pre-ordering the digital copy of Spider-Man: Homecoming on either PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will give Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite players free access to the “Superior Spider-Man” alternate costume for character.

For those not familiar with the comics, Superior Spider-Man had the titular hero’s body taken over by the mind of Doctor Octopus, who then tried to prove that he could be a “superior” Spider-Man than Peter Parker. Part of this involved wearing a striking new black and red costume — one which the new costume teased at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming shares some visual cues with (alongside the red and gold “Iron Spider” costume from Civil War comic event).

Access to the costume (as well as a PlayStation 4 theme and avatar, for those who pre-order it on the console) will be given for free to those who pre-order Spider-Man: Homecoming before October 24. For those not interested in pre-ordering (or who’re purchasing a copy of the movie through other means), the costume will also be available for purchase normally via PSN or Xbox Live for $3.99.
