We’ve been waiting for a solid date for Street Fighter V’s promised balance changes, ever since they were pushed forward from their original expected arrival at the end of April. Capcom has just announced via Twitter that we’ll be finally getting this balance patch–and the latest DLC character, Ed–next Tuesday on May 30, 2017.

As “and more” is promised, we don’t know for sure yet if this means we’ll be getting the revamped CFN features as well; hopefully this is specified in their next news update, promised for Thursday.

– Grand Theft Auto 5 Cruising Along at 80 MILLION Copies Moved

During today’s Take-Two Interactive investor’s call, the company revealed that over eighty MILLION copies of Grand Theft Auto 5 have been moved since 2013. That’s a whole lot of gas guzzled along the way. GTAO, part of GTA5, is a strong retail force for Take-Two. Thus far in 2017, five million “sold-in” copies have been sent to merchants. That’s pretty good for a four year old game.

NSURGO to offer a new line of Beast-branded Daigo Umehara merchandise, launching alongside Evo 2017

Soon you will be able to show your support of the Beast with new apparel–and more.

Already partnered with Twitch, HyperX, Cygames, and Red Bull, another company is stepping forward to join forces with the Beast: NSURGO has announced plans to produce new merchandise featuring Daigo Umehara’s “Beast” branding.

Daigo Umehara most recently signed up with Cygames to form Cygames Beast: a sponsorship shared by PR Balrog and Red Bull’s Snake Eyez; this was preceded by a sponsorship with gaming headset manufacturer HyperX, working with Red Bull to promote his book The Will to Keep Winning, and being named Twitch’s global brand ambassador. His accomplishments need no introduction in the FGC–and after some struggles with Ryu in Street Fighter V, his recent switch to Guile has earned him a spot in the upcoming ELEAGUE playoffs; many eyes are on Umehara again, waiting to see if he can rise to even greater competitive prominence.

While no products have been revealed yet, NSURGO promises “apparel, headwear, and accessories” in their upcoming Beast line. The BEAST x NSURGO collection will launch to coincide with Evo 2017–happening in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 14-16. From NSURGO:

The goal of this partnership is to create the first-ever lifestyle brand that captures the influence Daigo has brought to the fighting game community. To accomplish this, the NSURGO and Beast teams will combine their years of experience in competitive gaming, artistic design, and merchandising. The result will be fresh new products for fans and the fighting game community. The NSURGO team is honored to have spent the last several months working with the Beast team, and in that time have developed a number of new designs, including the new Beast logo.

A hitbox viewer for The King of Fighters XIV is already in development

One of the great things about fighting games getting PC ports is all the tools that players can develop around them. Hitbox viewers are one such tool, especially since we still don’t get these with every game.

With The King of Fighters XIV coming to PC, many were expecting such a mod to eventually be developed. However, what many people weren’t expecting was how soon we would get one! Yes, with the game is still only in beta, we already have a player-made hitbox viewer in the works. French player Loïc Petit, aka WydD has, on the request of Eric “Dantarion” Sheppard, started working on one.

As you’ll notice, the tool is pretty rudimentary in its current state–it doesn’t even overlay itself over the game properly. However, the folks behind the Frame Trapped hitbox viewer for Street Fighter V have already offered to help complete the viewer.

With the latter’s help, hopefully a fully-featured hitbox viewer can be released in time for The King of Fighters XIV‘s Steam Edition this coming June.

Catch the first in-game glimpse of Red Hood via the Injustice 2 Facebook page

Earlier this month, it was revealed that Red Hood, Starfire and Sub-Zero would be the first three Injustice 2 DLC characters, as part of “Fighter Pack 1.” Over the weekend, the Injustice Facebook page posted a screenshot that gave us our first in-game look at one of them. Reborn from the Lazarus Pit after being killed by The Joker, Jason Todd returned as a vengeful assassin, who had no problem with dispensing justice in a much more lethal manner than his mentor Batman. In the screenshot, Todd seems to have launched his enemy with an attack similar to Erron Black’s slide from Mortal Kombat XL, as he shoots them with his pistols from his back, possibly indicating that he is a bit of a hybrid character, in contrast to Deadshot’s pure zoning strategy.

You can see the screenshot for yourself below:
