Check Out This Alternate Win Pose Compilation for The King of Fighters XIV

Knocking out two of your opponent’s characters with only one of your teammates is tough in The King of Fighters XIV. SNK has their own fun little way of acknowledging this: beat two opponents in a row, get a new win pose! Well, sort of. Some are as simple as new voice lines accompanying the old win poses. Still, it’s a nice touch of personality!

Check out the video below to see all the alternate win poses found so far.

Sadly, not every character has a alternate win pose. Perhaps a future update will bring in a few more easter eggs like this?

The Japan-Only Fu’un Super Combo Finally Comes to the USA Today, as an Imported PlayStation 2 Classic

SNK and Sony are going all-out with releasing the NEO GEO’s classic fighting game archive to the PlayStation 4, as the Japan-exclusive Fu’un Super Combo makes it way to the US PlayStation Network Store today. A port of the PS2 re-release of Savage Reign and Kizuna Encounter, this collection is part of the Import PS2 Classics series, meaning that the in-game text is only available in Japanese.

For those who aren’t familiar with these NEO GEO fighters, Savage Reign is a weapons fighter where players can jump between two planes of movement, with fighters being able to throw their select armaments at opponents positioned above or below them. Kizuna Encounter drops this plane-switching mechanic in exchange for tag battles, where players can swap in certain assists when positioned at specific places on the screen.

Only available for those on the US PSN Store, Fu’un Super Combo is out now for $14.99.

Waypoint Discusses the Correlation Between Street Fighter and Hip-Hop

Street Fighter has always seemed to have a love affair with hip hop–or perhaps it’s the other way around? Either way, the two seem to flow together perfectly. We have already mentioned many of the tracks that show where the two come together, but rarely do we get a glimpse into why they always live in harmony.

Waypoint has given us an in depth look into the correlation between Street Fighter and hip-hop. While they go over the obvious–such as the hip-hop stylings offered by the Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike soundtrack–they also go further in depth, including a mention of Lupe Fiasco.
