Korean e-Sports Association Recognizes Infiltration’s International Accomplishments
This week, the Korean e-Sports Association (KeSPA) presented the latest edition of the annual Korea e-Sports Awards. As you’ve likely guessed, this awards show honors players of Korean descent for their accomplishments in the world of competitive gaming. While they usually focus on high-profile titles like StarCraft, League of Legends, and Hearthstone, a special accolade was set aside for one of our community’s strongest players: Razer’s Seon-woo “Infiltration” Lee.
Infiltration was invited to the proceedings to receive an award in recognition of his accomplishments throughout the past year, most notably outside his home country. And looking back at his itinerary, it’s hard to argue he doesn’t have the credentials: the last few months have seen him place high at international events like Evo, Southeast Asia Major, Stunfest, Red Bull Kumite, and more.
Founded in 2000 with the approval of Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, KeSPA has worked towards the goal of expanding the presence of competitive gaming and improving conditions for players ever since. Street Fighter often takes a backseat in the country’s booming eSports scene, but this award is no doubt a major accomplishment for Infiltration, the Korean scene, and the fighting game community as a whole.
AVerMedia’s Kelvin Jeon, a fellow Korean competitor who contributed translations to this story, had this to say: “I’m so happy for Infiltration and everything that has happened this year. He qualified for Capcom Cup, dominated numerous majors, and received a Razer sponsorship, and this award recognizes his hard work while representing Korea. I wish him nothing but the best in the upcoming years.”
Infiltration is set to take part in what is perhaps the most stacked Street Fighter IV bracket of his career next month at Capcom Cup. Let’s see if this award gives him the motivation to close out the year strong.

Updated Shadow Jago Still Heading to Killer Instinct Before End of Year
After revealing the changes they plan to make to Shadow Jago in Killer Instinct to make him a unique character, Iron Galaxy Studios has been pretty mum on the whole thing. The original plan was to make Mr. Edgy available before the end of 2015, but is that schedule still in place with about a month and a half left to go?
Fortunately, the answer is yes. The developers recently celebrated the reboot’s second anniversary with a blog post on Ultra-Combo, but also took the time to drop some information on Shadow Jago. While they still don’t have a concrete date, players can expect the character to drop in December. They also have plans to provide a live stream and “fun video” in the meantime.
More details on Shadow Jago’s expanded moveset can be found here.
