Lab Zero’s Indivisible Crowdfunding Campaign Receives Extension

By now you’ve almost certainly heard about the Indiegogo campaign surrounding Lab Zero Games’ action RPG, Indivisible. You’ve also likely noticed that nothing short of a miracle would have seen the game through to its final funding goal by the original date of backing closure.

But the team behind the game put in a request for an extension of their backing period, and that extension–a full 20 days–was granted yesterday. This means that backers and backers-to-be now have 23 more days to decide if Indivisible is the sort of game they’d like to feed some cash. As of this writing, the campaign has raised nearly $950,000 of it’s $1,500,000 goal, so they’re not quite out of the woods yet.

If you’re not sure that the game is worth your time or money, you can check out an early prototype on PlayStation 4 and PC to get a feel for what the devs intend to offer.

Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono and Tomoaki Ayano Heading to GameStart 2015 This Weekend

This weekend, top Ultra Street Fighter IV players will be throwing down in the Capcom Pro Tour Asia Finals at GameStart 2015 in Singapore. But apart from bringing tournament goers their penultimate shot of Capcom Cup qualifying spots, the convention may have a bit more up its sleeve.

On Sunday, November 15, Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono and Tomoaki Ayano are set to take the stage for what the official schedule calls a “Street Fighter V Producer Session.” This happens to be just an hour before the Ultra Street Fighter IV grand finals begin–the perfect time for a Street Fighter V-related announcement to get everyone’s blood pumping.

The exact nature of what these two intend to announce–and indeed, if they intend to announce anything at all–remains unknown at this time. With the days until Street Fighter V’s release falling away, we’ve got only so many (wildly) appropriate events from which news surrounding the game can spring, so it makes sense that they might have something to share. Stay tuned to Shoryuken for any details that the two decide to divulge.

GameStart Asia is set to take place November 13-15.

Slay Monsters as Street Fighter’s Iconic World Warriors in Dragon’s Dogma Online

If you’ve ever wanted to Shoryuken a flying dragon or land a Sonic Boom on a rampaging ogre, you just might be in luck. Capcom recently announced a special collaboration between their franchises that will allow Dragon’s Dogma Online players to participate in special events to earn Street Fighter-themed gear for their characters.

The promotion, which runs through November 26, is divided into a number of sub-events. At this time, players are able to hunt down a special piece of head armor based on Chun-Li’s iconic hairstyle, but more will soon be available for those who would prefer to look like Ryu, E. Honda, Guile, or M. Bison instead.

Dragon’s Dogma Online is a free-to-play multiplayer game for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC that’s currently exclusive to Japan. More details can be found by following the link below.

Capcom Planning to Run More Street Fighter V Stress Tests Before Next Official Beta

This past weekend, fighting game fans were given a little extra time to play Street Fighter V outside the regularly scheduled beta tests. Much like they did before the first, Capcom opened up an early build of the upcoming game for a short stress test, and new details reveal that the community can look forward to more in the future.

We’ve yet to learn when the third and final beta period will launch, but Capcom has confirmed that they are planning to hold more of these stress tests before then. While these serve as an excellent way for the developers to hammer out remaining issues, they also give the community even more opportunities to learn the intricacies of the game and its systems, so be on the look out for more details.

Street Fighter V is scheduled to launch for PlayStation 4 and PC on February 16.

Capcom Alters Some of Street Fighter V’s More Risqué Cinematics

It’s no secret that Street Fighter V features a fair amount of provocative imagery, from R. Mika’s revealing wrestling outfit to Laura Matsuda’s voluptuous figure. Now, I don’t want to spend too much time dwelling on the rights and wrongs of these designs, but it wouldn’t be going too far to say they’ve garnered a good deal of attention over the past few months.

With a consistent stream of footage being released to the public, fans have been able to compare and contrast various Street Fighter V builds ad nauseam, and a new discovery seems to indicate that Capcom recently toned down two cinematics that have contributed to the game’s risqué reputation.

First up, R. Mika. Like we mentioned above, her outfit complements her over-the-top personality, and her Critical Art originally drew even more attention to this with that infamous butt slap. But in new footage from IGN, we can see that the game camera no longer focuses on the wrestler’s backside, instead choosing to simply imply what’s happening off-screen.

We’ve included both versions in GIF form, courtesy of videos from IGN and ADAPT Chance, below. You may also notice that Mika and tag partner Nadeshiko no longer pull the opponent’s legs into a split.

And that’s not all. Cammy’s intro appears to have been slightly altered as well, placing the lower end of her iconic leotard, and subsequently her crotch, off-screen by way of a new camera angle. This adjustment is a little less overt than the one above, but still noticeable when you see the two cinematics side by side. Special thanks to ADAPT Chance and DeAlmighty Juan for the videos that served as the basis for these GIFs.

While it’s clear that changes have been made to these scenes, the reasons why become a little murkier. Did Capcom decide to scale back on Street Fighter V’s more suggestive elements, or is this just a case of a game constantly changing and updating over the course of development? Let us know what you think of these adjustments in the comments.
