The latest Overwatch Twitter post is a schematic for a weapon created by Torbj�rn that seems to be some sort of sniper rifle with biotic healing capabilities, something which Mercy seems to have issue given the potential for weaponization. Many are speculating that the next character, “Sombra”, is actually Ana Amari, Egyptian sniper and the mother of Pharah.

According to TorrentFreak.com, Blizzard has filed a lawsuit in California against Bossland, the creator of an Overwatch cheat tool called Watchover Tyrant that allows users to see opponents’ stats and locations. The lawsuit cites copyright infringement and unfair competition.

A Chinese fan looking forward to the release of Overwatch was sadly killed during an altercation with a criminal the night before the game release. Wu Hongyu witnessed the theft of a classmate’s motorcycle and chased the perpetrator on his own. The two crushed and sadly Hongyu died from his injuries.

The Overwatch site has been updated with a note that lets PC players know that the competitive game mode is launching later today. PlayStation 4 and XBox One players will see competitive mode launch sometime next week, though no more specific date was written.

Overwatch is dominating the PC gaming revenue market for the month of May by generating $269M on both PC and console. SuperData Research found that Overwatch’s astronomical success has left prime competitor “Battleborn in the dust”.

Korean professional Overwatch player “Gegury” has silenced her accusers, two of whom have left the professional gaming scene altogether as promised. During the Nexus Cup qualifying matches, Gegury, who plays as Zarya (with an 80% win rate over 420 games), was accused by opponents which prompted Blizzard to take a look. Cleared by Blizzard Korea, Gegury took things one step further and live-streamed herself playing a nearly flawless match to prove her skills are legit.

Overwatch has exploded onto the scene and in a little under a month is already boasting 10million players. Even though Overwatch has only been out about a month fans have been hard at work creating ever since the game was first announced; which makes this a great time to start looking at some of the incredible creations out there.

Overwatch has jumped into first place with Koreans who take part in games at locations such as PC Bang, an Internet cafe chain. League of Legends had held the first position among these gamers for the past 4 years but has been unseated with Overwatch’s soaring success.
