According to the @PlayOverwatch Twitter account, competitive play, once thought to be headed to gamers in June, is now coming later in July. If so, it will mark the second time that competitive play has been delayed — first taken out of the release version and now for up to a month after it was said to be coming out in June.

Blizzard has sent out a great looking new video to show how the giant-sized Overwatch characters that were displayed around the world were made. Characters include Genji, Tracer and Pharah and it’s a fantastic, if brief, behind-the-scenes look. Check it out!

The star of the latest Overwatch comic is none other than turret building dward Torbjorn. Called “Destroyer”, the comic follows Torbjorn as he takes the fight to a gigantic mechanized enemy.

During the Overwatch All-Stars launch event, Blizzard Senior Designer Michael Chu confirmed that new heroes and maps are definitely in the works and will be coming “soon” to the game.

Those who have been nervously climbing the walls for the past two weeks are now sated with the final arrival of Overwatch. Some server woes stopped players in their tracks but they seem to have more or less resolved themselves as millions of players score millions of more Bastion kills.

In the final Overwatch animated short, Blizzard shows off the awesomeness of a combat veteran out to clean up the mean streets of the world. Soldier 76 shows off his good side and it’s a must-see for fans of Overwatch set to debut this week for millions of gamers around the world. Let us know what you think!

Blizzard is getting ready for next week’s launch in a big (literally…) way with giant Overwatch Statures said to be cropping up in several locations around the world. A large action figure of Tracer has shown up in Hollywood with Genji headed to Paris, and Pharah to Busan, South Korea.
