Have Geralt’s adventures in SoulCalibur VI joined The Witcher canon?
Bandai Namco has released a look at the development for Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher franchise within SoulCalibur VI. Developers from CD Projekt Red have been working closely with the SoulCalibur VI team ensuring that Geralt is as authentic as possible, while still fitting perfectly within the fighting game universe.
Also, according to Borys Pugacz-Muraszkiewicz, the Director of English Adaptations from CD Projekt Red, Geralt’s inclusion in SoulCaliburVI can be viewed as more than just a guest character cameo. “…Geralt’s romp into the world of SoulCalibur VI could be considered an extension of the interdimensional travel he did in The Witcher 3,” said Pugacz-Muraszkiewicz.
Check out the complete showcase below, and see the dedication the developers are exhibiting to ensure their beloved character meets the expectations of players of both The Witcher and SoulCalibur.
It’s finally time to delve into Blastoise with his arrival in Pokkén Tournament DX! The giant turtle shakes things up with his unique playstyle and imposing stature. While he is a very heavy “tank” style character, he has a decent amount of mobility which allows him to get in quickly to deal damage.
This tutorial video by EnderMon goes over the basics with Blastoise; it shows some of his bread-and-butter combos to get you started, should you decide that slow and steady will definitely win the race.
Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition‘s Ken seems to be a bottomless pit of ambiguous cross-ups and mix-ups — or, at least, one could be lead to believe that from the tireless work of World Warrior FGC. It’s time to add another setup on the pile with today’s video:
When you use your V-Trigger to cancel your fireball mid-juggle, Ken has enough time to whiff a wide variety of moves. Tatsu cross-ups, both real and fake, work here — and thanks to being in V-Trigger state, he has the ability to convert any of these hits into giant damage.
Players new to Dragon Ball FighterZ can easily get frustrated on defense. When mix-ups are so heavily prevalent — and getting touched twice can mean certain doom — it can be hard to know exactly what to do. This is why knowing all of your defensive options is far more important than knowing your combos, as you are unable to do the latter if you don’t know the former options to keep you alive.
This tutorial addresses your defensive options, including Vanish, Sparking Blast, Reflect, and how to even block properly based on what’s going on. This makes this the basic compendium for how to keep your character alive long enough to go on offense.
Pro wrestling has been nothing but drama for decades. That’s not a new development… what is surprising is that the drama of pro wrestling now finds its way into Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition with this bizarre bug.
ElChakotay has discovered that R. Mika can find herself in a situation where it appears as though Nadeshiko performs an nWo-esque swerve on her during V-Trigger II, the “Steel Chair”. To replicate this, you can cancel Irish Whip into V-Trigger II; this sends Nadeshiko out with the chair. Now, if R. Mika throws her microphone as part of her V-Skill when Nadeshiko throws the chair, the microphone will actually negate the chair’s projectile properties, as though they were on opposing teams.
Good thing R. Mika is ready to protect herself against Nadeshiko’s inevitable heel turn, at least!
With the launch of Tekken 7 Bandai Namco went into a collaboration with New Japan Pro Wrestling for both in-game content, as well as merchandise. The initial wave of these was focused on stars such as IGPW Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika “Rainmaker” Okada, the Ace Hiroshi Tanahashi, as well Bullet Club leader Kenny Omega. Now, more collaboration content is coming — and it promises to be ungovernable.
The latest Tekken 7 and NJPW collaboration involves none other than Los Ingobernables de Japon leader Tetsuya Naito. The collaboration specifically involves Naito and Tekken’s Devil Jin. It so far involves a line of clothing, T-shirts, hoodies, and wrist bands.
For those not familiar with him, Tetsuya Naito started out as the “Stardust Genius”, but initially failed to get traction with the fans. This all changed after a trip to Mexico where he joined up with La Sombra (current NXT Champion Andrade Cien Almas) as part of the latter’s Los Ingobernables stable. His return to NJPW saw him bring a new attitude called “Tranquilo” that caught the attention of the fans leading to the formation of Los Ingobernables de Japon — arguably the most popular stable in New Japan Pro Wrestling at the moment.
For those interested in the collaboration, the merchandise can be ordered via Bandai Namco’s official online store. As for whether or not this collaboration will also include future in-game content, no details have yet have been revealed.
With the first two of eight upcoming DLC characters for Dragon Ball FighterZ releasing this Wednesday, popular fighting game content creators Maximilian, PNDK&M, as well as Hellpockets, RhymeStyle, and AfroSenju XL have all published various breakdowns to get players acquainted with the power of the Legendary Super Saiyan before he officially steps into the ring.
Both Maximilian and Ketchup note that Broly’s most notable trait is the armor on several of his medium and heavy normals, similar to his fellow “big body” grappler, Android 16. However, unlike the powerbombing, Goku-killing cyborg, his armor has a bit of startup and isn’t available on frame 1, meaning he won’t be able to toss them out as liberally in neutral.
Perhaps his most unique attack is the Powered Shell, a barrier that will allow him to block all incoming projectiles, and zone foes with ki blasts and projectile assists at his leisure.
Broly’s two supers also have some unique properties, with the level 1 Eraser Cannon functioning similarly to his Eraser Blow, however if Broly Ultimate Z Changes into a partner’s super, Eraser Cannon will hit after his ally’s attack, possibly setting up unique combo opportunities for them. His level 3, Gigantic Meteor, has two different versions depending on if it’s preformed with R1/L+M — which will fire the giant projectile seen in his trailer — while R2/H+S will release a small, slower-moving projectile that could set up nasty post-splat mix-ups.
You can see more footage and thoughts from these players in the videos below.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, with Bardock and Broly — along with 6 additional DLC characters — being available as part of the FighterZ Pass (as well as being included in the FighterZ and Ultimate Editions).
Hello warriors! Frabisaur here again with a new 5-Minute Focus video, and this time I’m joined by DBFZ powerhouse Tatsunical! I sat down with Tatsu to glean his wisdom on some of the fundamental aspects of Dragon Ball FighterZ. With regular top 3 finishes at Wednesday Night Fights, and being ranked 3rd on the PS4 leaderboards, Tatsunical brought some seriously strong information for this video!
In the first episode, I asked Tatsu how players can get more out of their assists. He related assists to their place in the games’ neutral and left me — and hopefully all of you — with a fresh perspective on how to get more out of your off-screen companions. The most revelatory idea to me was how you can use your assists to do the heavy lifting for you. By having them take the charge on offense or defense, you can let your assist be your “attack” for you while keeping your point character safe. Check out the video below for this, and more!
You can check out more from Tatsunical on his Twitter and Twitch channel.

With the latest Dragon Ball FighterZ update that arrived on the 16th, it didn’t take long for dataminers to roll up their sleeves and get to work uncovering any new secrets Bandai Namco Entertainment and Arc System Works may have added to the game’s code for release in the future.
Though a model for Future Trunks’ Sword of Hope has existed in the game since launch, the latest patch has added a myriad of new textures and effects for the time-traveling Saiyan warrior, including a “Body Aura,” as well as pair of new textures — one blue and one purple, which could be for Merged Zamasu’s Violent Fierce God Slicer attack, implying that Future Trunks will be able to trigger a new Dramatic Finish when he defeats Fused Zamasu on the West City stage. You can see the full video below, as well as the scene of Fused Zamasu’s defeat in the anime for the sake of comparison. It will be interesting to see if Wednesday’s Bardock and Broly patch adds any additional files that could further point to this pair’s potential arrival in the future.
If Bandai Namco stick to a pattern of releasing fighters in pairs, the rumors would suggest that SSGSS Vegito would be arriving alongside Zamasu. So, what do you think of Fused Zamasu and SSGSS Vegito likely joining the roster of Dragon Ball FighterZ in the near future? Let us know in the comments below.
The King of Fighters ’98 is a title that has enjoyed a longevity of two decades of play — and it shows no signs of slowing down. With China and Latin America still exploring the title, it still has a lot of life left in it, and these combos show exactly that.
With highly-impractical setups and interactions, these combos ultimately show the depth of the 20-year-old game system. It also shows off some boss-mode combos, showing why Ultimate Rugal — as with many boss characters from that era — are “ultimately” banned in competitive play.
