Dragon Ball FighterZ glitch can make Tien’s opponents turn invisible

Glitches are a fact of life in fighting games, throughout the years a glitches in a number of games have become part of the that game’s competitive meta-game and even been adapted into actual features. However, there are some glitches that don’t go down that route, being detrimental to the game. This latest glitch in Dragon Ball FighterZ seems to fall into the latter.

In a new video, RZampa demonstrates how Tien (a.k.a. Tenshinhan) can perform his level 3 super in such a way that his opponent becomes invisible afterwards. Now, the setup itself is pretty situational — Tien’s opponent must be performing a special move while Android 21’s assist is active when the level 3 connects. Performed correctly, the opposing character will now be rendered invisible.

While the set up for the glitch is quite specific, it’s still possible to trigger it mid-match. In fact, RZampa has shared a replay video where it did happen.

It’s likely that Arc System Works will be patching this out in a future update. In the meantime, players should be careful with that level 3 when playing Tien, in a match where Android 21 is involved.

NetherRealm Studios debuts Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles gameplay trailer ahead of Watchtower stream

NetherRealm Studios has released the first gameplay trailer for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in Injustice 2 featuring Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Donatello fighting side-by-side at full force.

As promised, the Turtles fight as a team: each ninja has their own unique attacks and specials, and can call on their brothers for support. Each team member has their own dialogue as well, and there’s certainly no shortage of snark. It’s not immediately clear how TMNT team members tag in based on the trailer, but at least one of the Turtle’s team attacks has a meter burn variation.

The NRS development team will offer a full walkthrough of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles during a special Watchtower stream later today at 4:00 PM ET (1:00 PM PT), so be sure to tune in for the full details on the comic book crime-fighting team. The team is the final character in Injustice 2‘s Fighter Pack 3 (along with Enchantress and the Atom) and will be available later this month.

Japan’s best in Capcom vs. SNK 2 warm up at GameSpot Versus before Evo Japan

At Evo Japan, BAS held one of the largest Capcom vs. SNK 2 events in recent memory, with over 70 entrants in attendance. But before the fireworks ignited and people lived and let die, Japan’s players congregated at GameSpot Versus for a last-minute tune-up event.

As a monthly tournament, GameSpot Versus always brings out top CvS2 players, but this January was particularly impressive. Thankfully Silentscope uploaded the event prior to the loss of footage on Twitch, so that we can see the event before the big event.

Light up opponents with Lil Majin’s Burning Knuckle traps for Tekken 7’s King

When hunting for new, high-damage combos in Tekken 7, you should keep in mind that juggles are not the only combo-able state your opponent can be put in. Knowledge like this is That’s what led to Lil’ Majin‘s discovery that King’s OTG hitting Burning Knuckle is technically guaranteed with the correct setup.

It’s practical too — even if the opponent willingly stays on the ground to take less damage from the Burning Knuckle, the ensuing combo does more damage then any of King’s typical juggle options in these situations. On top of that, the unblockable cannot be escaped, and it can’t be countered by characters with reversal moves.

Punish errant airdodges with the Beefy Smash Doods’ guide to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U frame traps

One thing that makes the Super Smash Bros. series different to traditional fighters is the airdodge. Even if you get hit by a move, you have the opportunity to throw out an airdodge and avoid your opponent’s next attack. It’s not always beneficial to airdodge, as players can exploit its recovery frames for an even harder punish — similar to frame trapping your opponent in a traditional fighter.

In their latest Smash 4 guide, the Beefy Smash Doods run through the finer points of frame-trapping, even showing how a frame trap can actually be better than using a true combo follow-up. By delaying a part of a true combo, you can even condition someone into airdodging, putting them right where you want them for a KO. So be careful with your airdodges! It may be just what your opponent is waiting for.

Daigo Umehara announces Kemonomichi 2 with this teaser trailer

“The Battle of the Beasts has just begun.”

Last month, Daigo Umehara hosted Kemonomichi, a set of exhibition matches with nothing but pride on the line! We got to see Aniken take on Kotaka Shouten in Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Ogawa versus Machabo in Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, and Ohnuki’s versus Deshiken in Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike. (You can check out those matches here!) After the dust settled, we were left wondering if The Beast would host a follow-up event…

And there it is. We don’t know the games or the competitors yet, but some fierce fights will be coming our way on March 10, 2018. Keep an eye on BeasTV and Shoryuken for updates.

Karin shows off her reset potential with V-Trigger II in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition

Karin has long been known to have some of the best reset potential in Street Fighter V. With her ability to reset easily off of Tenko, she has added in additional reset potential with V-Trigger II.

The V-Trigger — which allows her to parry an opponent’s attack, sending them airborne — allows her a jab reset situation. She can then follow up with a forward dash or a light Sappo — both of which leave her at a +1 frame advantage. This allows her to follow up with a jab on either side she lands on, resulting in a combo.
