It’s been a long wait, but the day is finally upon us: Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition is now available, ready to usher in a new era for Capcom’s signature fighting game as it enters its third season of content. In a two-minute trailer (F.A.N.G would be proud) we see the character select screens for all six courses of the titular Arcade Mode, Urien, and the Mad Gear Gang’s Two P. furiously try to break barrels together in the new Bonus Stage, and we get a glimpse of some of the 200+ unlockable endings and illustrations, courtesy of UDON Entertainment.

The new Team and Extra Battle Modes are also briefly shown off, as Guile battles Shin Akuma, while Ed faces off with Viewtiful Rashid — the first Extra Battle Crossover Costume — that will be this month’s reward for finishing all four of the Extra Battle challenges.

Finally, the new V-Triggers IIs take the spotlight to close things out. You can see the full trailer for yourself, and get in on the hype below:

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition is available now for PlayStation 4 and Steam, as both a free update for existing SFV owners, as well as a retail release that includes download codes for the 2016 and 2017 character passes, providing you with all 12 previously released DLC characters as well as various pre-order costumes.

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition has finally arrived, meaning Sakura the Exuberant Youth is ready to battle. Having graduated from high school and gained a new outlook on life, the Sakura playable in SFV:AE is a little different to her previous incarnations. To help players get up to speed with Ryu’s number one fan, Capcom Fighters have just released Sakura’s character introduction trailer.

Sakura’s V-Skill is a command jump, which can lead into a divekick, command grab or her trademark triple smash juggle. Her V-Trigger I focuses energy into her fists, powering up her fireballs and giving her access to a powerful palm thrust move. Her V-Trigger II beefs up her Shouoken and Shunpukyaku, granting her extra damage and increased combo potential.

Sakura takes on her idol — and all others — in Street Fighter V, starting today!

Sakura is running straight into Street Fighter V today as part of the Arcade Edition upgrade. And she’s free to try for a limited time, too! With only a day left until we get our hands on Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, we’ll soon have to figure our way out of new combos, setups, and scenarios in Season 3. Josie is Bruce’s stand-in in Tekken 7, and she’s traded Bruce’s “Pasart Stance” for her “Switch Stance.” The names (and buttons) may be different, but the transitions into each stance offer the same frustrating frame advantage and counter-hit opportunities.

Watching Double_FGC‘s Pokkén Tournament DX channel has, over time, taught me a valuable lesson: if you want to see the true strength of an assist, see what Braixen can do with it.

Braixen’s strong air options, combined with Sunny Day buffs (which she automatically gets in Burst Mode) play very well with Popplio’s double jump buff, allowing her to get more actions in a single block string.

Adding to all of this is Braixen’s ability to charge supports. Where other characters would struggle to have all the resources ready to setup these situations, Braixen will always have Popplio on standby when going into Burst. Popplio might be a rarely seen support in tournament now, but with the options Braixen can dish out with it, I don’t expect this to remain this way.

While we didn’t get to bask in the glory of Lord Yamcha during the open beta, Maximilian luckily got the chance to play the former desert bandit at a Bandai Namco event for Dragon Ball FighterZ last year. While we got a brief look at him via Hellpockets’ breakdown, Max’s video is a more in-depth look at what Yamcha can pull off in battle.

Primarily a rushdown character, Yamcha only has two main special moves: the Wolf Fang Fist and the Gale Claws. Wolf Fang Fist will be the main move you’ll be using as Yamcha, being a multi-hitting physical attack than can be followed up in a variety of ways. Along with a knockdown which is super-cancellable, Yamcha can perform a Wolf Fang Fist Flash by pressing Heavy at any during a WFF string. This takes one stock of meter and knocks the opponent into the air, allowing Yamcha to switch sides and continue the combo.

By pressing the Ki button during WFF, Yamcha can dash through his opponent and appear on the other side, so he can continue his pressure. You can also press Back + Ki to have Yamcha backdash away from the opponent. As for Gale Claws, you’ll mainly want to use this move as your aerial combo ender, as Yamcha has no aerial super.

It’s that time of the year again. The Super Smash Bros. for Wii U scene has been turned on its head since Evo 2017, but one thing remains clear: ZeRo still reigns supreme.

Panda Global has been releasing its global rankings over the course of the last week, and with the list finalized, the Chilean superstar has remained the best in the world, with Salem — the winner of Evo 2017 over ZeRo — taking the second place spot on the leaderboard.
