Mash-up: Arcade Infinity shows how INDESTRUCTIBLE the new Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition opening truly is

Ryu’s meditation took him back to some strange but familiar places…

Love it or hate it, the opening theme of the original Street Fighter IV — Exile’s The Next Door ~Indestructible~ — was the anthem for Street Fighter’s triumphant return. And its power to generate hype has not waned, as demonstrated by this mash-up between Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition‘s new cinematic opening and Street Fighter IV‘s soundtrack. Behold, the SFVAE Indestructible A.i.Remix:

With a little bit of timing adjustments, The Next Door seems to fit quite well…

Watch ElChakotay’s R. Mika take on TOOLASSISTED’s Abigail bot in this Street Fighter V online match

Can Muscle Spirit triumph in a fight between Mika and machine…?

If you’re in the mood for some Street Fighter V-inspired chuckles, this clip from ElChakotay’s Ranked Match stream will deliver. In this match footage he takes on TOOLASSISTED’s OPTION9 bot, this time playing as Abigail. ElChakotay discovers that OPTION9’s teabagging powers far exceed that of a flesh-and-blood man… and yet, OPTION9 is too polite to interrupt Mika’s Mic Performance V-Skill — or simply fails to recognize how dangerous it is to let her get fully fired up. Have a look below.

(You can find more information about the “dojo” PC mod stage they’re playing on here.)

Who is “G”? BornFree explores theories on the identity of Street Fighter V’s Season 3 newcomer

The “fighting president” (if that’s what he is) is still cloaked in mystery.

SFV Season 3 characters

Two new fighters for Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition were revealed at Capcom Cup 2017 in the new opening cinematic: Ed’s Neo-Shadaloo compatriot Falke, and the mysterious “G” — at this point, pretty much a complete unknown. Who is G, and where does he fit into the world of Street Fighter?

In the video below, BornFree relates six different theories as to who this newcomer may be. Does “G” just stand for “gold” as part of a pro-wrestling persona? Is G Abraham Lincoln resurrected/cloned by the Illuminati? Is there a connection to Greg from Bloody Roar? Is G just Gill in disguise…? Check out the video and decide for yourself.

Also: don’t ask the blue Blanka for advice.

VesperArcade talks about changes found in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, including Ryu’s added “donkey kick”

A look at the balance changes discovered at PSX in the upcoming build of Street Fighter V.

The new V-Triggers were the highlight of the demo build of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition on display at PSX; but naturally hands-on play revealed additional differences between SFVAE and the current Season 2 system.

In the video below, VesperArcade talks about some of the differences that were found: starting with the change to throw loops, apparent increased recovery time on command grabs, nerfed anti-air jabs (again), and a detailed examination of how Ryu’s returning Joudan Sokutogeri (“donkey kick”) appears to work.

It is known that the version of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition shown off at PSX is not the final retail version, so we still may — and likely will — see changes between what we saw there and what arrives in-game on January 16th.

There’s still 1 frame of native offline lag in Tekken 7 on PC, and players are working to remove it

In the wake of rejoicing over the PlayStation 4’s input lag fix for Tekken 7, SRK forum member WAZAAAAA (with the help of Hardcore) discovered that there is still a wall between you and your inputs on PC.

It may only be 1 frame in size, but that one frame is potentially the difference between you blocking some lows on reaction or not. With that in mind, this Duo developed a tool to remove this frame of input lag from the PC version. You can read more about their tests to prove the existence of this input lag, overview of the tool, and their future plans for it here.

Rock the dragon with Dragon Ball FighterZ’s opening cinematic

Shown off during Sunday’s episode of Dragon Ball Super, Bandai Namco and Arc System Works have shown the opening cinematic of Dragon Ball FighterZ off to the world. In true ASW style, you’ve got screeching guitars and guttural vocals playing, while the cast of DBFZ duke it out.

Everyone in the roster — besides SSB Goku and Vegeta — get a chance in the spotlight, suggesting that you may get a new cinematic once you unlock the two blue-haired Saiyans after completing Story Mode. DBFZ’s villain Android 21 makes the briefest of cameos, but I still reckon she will feature as the game’s secret character — filling that final spot right underneath Beerus on the character select screen.

With the open beta starting on January 13th, you haven’t got long to wait for Dragon Ball FighterZ!
