Dead or Alive 6 trailer showcases Mai Shiranui and Kula Diamond DLC, releasing June 18
The King of Fighters duo will release on June 18!
Koei Tecmo released a trailer detailing Dead or Alive 6′s upcoming DLC characters from its The King of Fighters XIV collaboration and their accompanying debut costume sets.
First off, returning KOF fighter, Mai Shiranui returns to win the title of Japan’s best kunoichi. The character looks incredible in DOA6’s engine with her signature moves translating perfectly into the 3D arena.
The second character, who might surprise some if they weren’t keeping tabs on recent data mining, is none other than the “Ice Doll” herself, Kula Diamond. The character’s ice-based attacks look incredible in Dead or Alive, offering a new element not previously tapped into in the franchise.
The announced content finishes out what’s been announced for the title’s first season pass. While there’s no doubt that the season pass costs more than many were probably willing to pay for, $93 is quite the outlier in an industry of $20-$40 passes, you still do get quite a discount with everything broken down. Its certainly not for everyone, but the diehard DOA fan is sure to find the value with its host of costumes and the two upcoming characters.
I’m looking forward to seeing Mai and Kula in action and eager to see what’s next for the over-the-top 3D fighter. Hopefully its first season was successful and the feedback received from its players will influence where the game will go next.
Which characters would you want to join Dead or Alive 6 next?

Darksiders Genesis – Cinematic Teaser Trailer
Darksiders Genesis is looking an awful lot like a Diablo-style isometric ARPG than its predecessors. The main character is Strife and the action combat is very reminiscent of staple ARPGs including Path of Exile and Diablo. There is no launch date, but we do know that Darksiders Genesis is coming to PC via Steam, Switch, PS4, XB1 and Stadia from THQ Nordic.
Shang Tsung, Nightwolf, Sindel, Spawn, and two more Guests coming to Mortal Kombat 11’s Kombat Pack
On June 18th…your soul is his! Also, his Kombat Kast tomorrow at 3:00pm CDT!
After several weeks of anticipation, NetherRealm Studios finally revealed the contents of the Kombat Pack for Mortal Kombat 11, along with a gameplay trailer for the title’s first previously-announced DLC character: Shang Tsung. Despite appearing in his older form as the keeper of The Krypt located on his personal island, Shang opts to return to his younger form during kombat, to battle foes in his prime.
Armed with his signature straight and upward Flaming Skulls, as well as his trademark ability to steal his enemy’s soul, allowing the player to transform into the opposing character to immediately shift into a mirror match, the Sorcerer also has an interesting new ability on display.
During the trailer, we see Tsung transform into many of the Klassic male ninjas–some of whom currently aren’t in the game–to perform one of their signature attacks, such as Rain’s Super Kick, Ermac’s Telekinetic Slam, Reptile’s Slide, and Smoke’s Shake. He also transforms into Scorpion, Noob Saibot and Sub-Zero during his Fatal Blow.
Voiced by his actor in the 1995 film, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, the character certainly carries an appreciated level of nostalgia, with his victory pose recreating Shang’s most iconic moment from the film, and his fatality even featuring a cameo from another legacy MK boss.
Additionally, it was revealed that Nightwolf, Sindel, and Spawn will also be included in the Kombat Pack, with two more guests to be revealed later. It was also announced that a Klassic Arcade Ninja Skin Pack will be released, that sees Sub-Zero, Scorpion, and Noob Saibot don some throwback duds from Mortal Kombat II, recreated in stunning detail.
These will be three of the 19 included Skins for the KP. For those looking forward to stealing some souls, early access for Shang and the Klassic Skins will begin on Tuesday, June 18th, for Kombat Pack, Premium, and Kollector’s Edition owners, before they go on-sale to the general public one week later.
You can see Shang’s full trailer below, as well as a press release from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment detailing more about the other announced fighters, which notes that Spawn will be voiced by Keith David, his VA from the HBO animated series. Anyone lucky enough to be attending E3 2019 can try out Shang at the WB Games Booth from June 11-13th.
Here’s a breakdown of each of the Kombat Pack’s announced characters coming from Warner Bros. Entertainment.
Spawn –
Todd McFarlane’s Spawn is one of the world’s best-selling and longest-running monthly comic books, with hundreds of millions of copies sold worldwide in more than 120 countries and 15 different languages. The Spawn comic book tells the story of Al Simmons, an elite government assassin who was betrayed and killed by the CIA. Instead of dying, he sells his soul to Hell for a second chance at life, and becomes Spawn, an unstoppable soldier fighting the underworld. Spawn is voiced by Keith David, the original voice actor from ‘Todd McFarlane’s Spawn,’ the Emmy award-winning HBO animated series.
Shang Tsung –
The soul-stealing sorcerer and historic host of the Mortal Kombat Tournament. Shang Tsung pledged his eternal loyalty to Shao Kahn in exchange for a dark power, but he is no faithful servant. He dreams of the day his sorcery will overtake Shao Kahn’s, and he’ll pay any price to get there. Actor Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa is lending his voice and likeness to the popular character he portrayed in the classic 1995 Mortal Kombat film. Additionally, Shang Tsung will be available for consumers to play before release during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) from June 11 to 13 in the South Hall at the WB Games booth (#1023).
Nightwolf –
Formerly known as Grey Cloud, was chosen by the Great Spirit to become the Matoka’s champion and protector. Grey Cloud proved worthy when he laid down his life to prevent the Black Dragon from plundering what remained of his tribe’s sacred artifacts. As Nightwolf, Grey Cloud possesses extraordinary magic granted by the Great Spirit to fight for the Matoka’s future and defend all of Earthrealm.
Sindel –
The former Queen of Edenia and will stop at nothing to keep her place. Threatened with the loss of her throne when Shao Kahn conquered her realm, Sindel betrayed her husband, and her people, to keep her privileged position. Now, as Shao Kahn’s wife and Queen of Outworld, she enjoys power and wealth beyond most people’s imagination.
Don’t forget! Those who can’t wait to see Shang Tsung in action should check out tomorrow’s Kombat Kast to get the lowdown on the new fighter!
