During and just after yesterday’s World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth Q&A with Game Director Ion Hazzikostas, a number of interesting tidbits of information about the upcoming expansion were revealed. These include the removal of the Strand of the Ancients battleground from the PvP queue, some clarification about the global cooldown changes and the news that no Alliance High Elves are coming to the game as an Allied Race.

World of Warcraft – Check Out the Uldir Plate & Mail Raid Sets Coming in Battle for Azeroth

World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth is currently in late-phase alpha testing and players recently had the opportunity to check out the expansion’s first raid, Uldir. YouTuber “LeystTV” has a pair of new videos to showcase both male and female versions of the plate and mail armor sets that will drop for players. You’ll get a peek at how they look on all races and both genders.

World of Warcraft – China Group Begins Mythic Dungeon Invitational Event Starting Tomorrow

World of Warcraft teams from the China Group will begin competing this weekend to earn a slot in the Mythic Plus Invitational to be held later this year. Thirty-two teams around the world will be competing in double-elimination, best-of-three events starting on Friday, April 13th with the China Group. The Asia-Pacific Group will compete next week; Europe Group starting April 28th and Americas Group on May 5th.

World of Warcraft – Blizzard Previews Battle for Azeroth Novellas

One of the pieces in the World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth Collector’s Edition is a book that serves to provide context for both Horde and Alliance factions and their perspective on the Burning of Teldrassil. The WoW site has been updated with a preview of both Elegy by Christie Golden (Alliance) and A Good War by Robert Brooks (Horde). The book will be available after BfA’s launch in digital form.

World of Warcraft – One of WoW’s First Level Designers to Explore the Making of World of Warcraft

If you’re fan of World of Warcraft, a new book in the works called “World of Warcraft Diary” may be of interest. The author named John Staats was one of the original level designers and someone who worked on WoW for 10 years. He will be providing readers with the inside story of the development of the biggest and most successful MMORPG ever made. In order to bring his book to fruition, Staats has started a KickStarter initiative to raise $400,000.
