World of Warcraft – Mythic Dungeon Invitational Proving Grounds Kicks Off

From today through the next two weeks, World of Warcraft mythic dungeon teams of 5-players can work to complete dungeons in record time to qualify for the finals and a share of $100k. Multiple dungeons will need to be completed during the 2-week event. Blizzard will judge performance across each team’s top five dungeon times in order to select teams for inclusion in the Invitational.

World of Warcraft – Method Releases World First Mythic Kil’jaeden Kill Video

Method (EU realms) scored a “world first” Mythic Kil’jaeden kill last week in the World of Warcraft raid The Tomb of Sargeras after “only” 654 wipes ahead of it. Though Blizzard doesn’t official count world first kills any more, many of the top raiding guilds vie for the honor of being the first. World of Warcraft – Blizzard Takes Aim, Closes Newly Opened TBC Private Server

Blizzard has taken aim, fired and closed another ‘private’ server called Felmyst. The server opened mere days ago, dedicated to WoW through The Burning Crusade. Many sites covered the US-based server, perhaps bringing it to Blizzard’s attention. The site is now closed with a letter from the ‘owner’ named Gummy with an image of the Cease and Desist letter from Blizzard’s legal department.

World of Warcraft – Russell Brower Leaving Blizzard After 12 Years

Senior Audio Director and Composer Russell Brower is leaving Blizzard Entertainment after 12 years with the company. From his statement on Facebook, Brower’s position was eliminated after a process of “sound de-centralization”. “[M]y current position…is no longer relevant and is being eliminated”, Brower wrote.

World of Warcraft – Invasion Points Datamined, Explained by Ion Hazzikostas

During a recent interview with Ion Hazzikostas, more information was revealed about the forthcoming World of Warcraft “Invasion Points”. These single-player Invasion Points will require special riftstone keys that can be found on Argus. They are used in special portals to literally travel to other Legion-dominated locations to take on the demon forces. Icy-Veins took that information and datamined the types of places players will travel to.
