World of Warcraft – Official Patch Notes for Tomorrow’s 7.1.5 Update Published

The World of Warcraft community site has been updated with the official patch notes for tomorrow’s beefy 7.1.5 update. Players can look forward to the new Pandaria Timewalking event complete with a new mount, new pets and new toys. In addition, the revamped Brawler’s Guild will make its return with several new bosses including some that hearken to Overwatch. Players can earn a new mount, new shirts, a new battle pet and new achievements.

World of Warcraft – The Nighthold Raid Preview & Release Schedule

The World of Warcraft community site has been updated with the release schedule for the next raid in the Legion expansion, The Nighthold. The Nighthold consists of four wings, Arcing Aqueducts, Royal Athenaeum, Nightspire and Betrayer’s Rise. Players will face off with Gul’Dan for the final time (presumably!) atop the Nighthold.

World of Warcraft – Nighthold Raid to Open on January 17, 2017

Blizzard has posted a brief notice on the World of Warcraft forums to let players know that the Nighthold raid will be open for Normal and Heroic play on January 17, 2017 for North America and on January 18, 2017 for Europe. The Mythic and Raid Finder versions will be released in the weeks following that, though more precise dates are not yet available.

World of Warcraft – ‘Our Forum Presence Sucks’, Lack of Communication Tackled

One of the biggest issues many players have had with the World of Warcraft development team over the past several months has been the lack of communication regarding patch notes, class changes, system alterations and more. Last week, new WoW Game Director Ion Hazzikostas indicated that things would be changing under his watch and that more communication between developers and the community would be a priority.

World of Warcraft – “Battered & Bruised” Nostalrius Server to Launch Dec 17

Nostalrius, the pirate World of Warcraft server, will be making a return on December 17th, reborn as Elysium. The original Nostalrius server was shut down by Blizzard, but the WoW team met with server ‘owners’ earlier this summer in a cooperative effort to define the issue. After a few months of what was perceived to be inaction on Blizzard’s part, the Nost team threatened to release its source code if the issue was ignored during Blizzcon 2016. It was and the code was subsequently released.
