Will Capcom’s Public Relations Improve? VesperArcade Thinks It Can Get Better

Capcom has notably stated recently that they will be striving to improve their relations with fans of Street Fighter V, regarding updates. However, we can’t help but harken back to last year when they said the same thing, as well as Ono’s recent hesitance to say anything at all. This makes it difficult to establish trust with the community.

However, VesperArcade sees a silver lining to this announcement. In this video, he discusses how their lack of information, when combined with all the promises of updates and being in the midst of Street Fighter’s 30th Anniversary, means that Capcom is in a good position to bring a bevy of new announcements and changes into Street Fighter V and patch up the ill will felt by the community. There’s no guarantee of improvement, but it is possible–check out the video below to see if you agree with VesperArcade’s assessment.

“There’s No Way That Would Satisfy Everybody”– Ed Boon Talks about a Street Fighter/Mortal Kombat Crossover

Since the early days of competitive fighting games, there has been a buzz and clamor for two of the largest names in fighting games to clash–or should I say klash? With Street Fighter having crossed over with various other intellectual properties, people have always wondered when–and if–Mortal Kombat would join the list of crossover titles with Capcom’s flagship title.

According to NetherRealm Studios head Ed Boon–in an interview with IGN–it’s something he would consider if approached by Capcom, but doesn’t view as likely. He cites the differences in mechanics between the two titles as a reason, stating: “There’s different pacing, there’s different fundamentals with both of them.” He also said, “There’s part of me that’s like, ‘That would be such a cool dream,’ and then there’s another part of me that goes, ‘There’s no way that would satisfy everybody.’”
