“All hell has broken loose in the streets of Gotham City and inside The Midnight Masquerade Nightclub”. So reads the developer post on the DC Universe Online site that informs players that The Witching Hour has made its return to the game from now through October 31st. This year’s event features a triple treat of new goodies including new items, styles and feats.
Cryptic’s Jared “NoWorries” Sears has posted a new blog post on the Neverwinter site to show off some nice changes coming with the Heart of Fire module. One of the most interesting is that non-legendary end chests will be able to be opened for free — meaning no key required! “Overall the key mechanic wasd frustrating, and needing to spend AD on keys for additional dungeon runs in a given day wasn’t a great experience,” Sears wrote.
Last week saw not one but two different Capcom Pro Tour events. The Tokyo Game Show saw its annual Japan Premier, while at the same time EGX saw the culmination of the European Regional Finals. Following up on these, Capcom Fighters has now uploaded their top 5 moments from both events.
The videos below cover a number of great moments from both tournaments. The Japan Premier video includes CYG BST|Fuudo punishing DouyuTV|Xiao Hai’s V-Reversal with only a sliver of life left to take the game, as well as a few moments from the former’s amazing grand finals set against Echo Fox|Tokido.
The EGC video on the other hand includes a couple of amazing moments from the grand finals set between NASR|AngryBird and FNATIC|Akainu, as well as amazing comebacks by BJK|Luffy, and XL|Brian.

Capcom announces 3v3 Japanese Street Fighter League for 2019
Thanks to the latest update to Dauntless, players can now check out the brand new Ostian Repeaters ranged weapons. In addition, devs are preparing players for the Dark Harvest, “an expansive new Halloween-themed in-game event” that also introduces a new Behemoth that will kick off on October 17th.
The Japanese culture and anime-centered convention Youmacon is right around the corner as we enter the fall period. You can descend onto the Detroit, Michigan event on November 1st-4th to celebrate fandom — and also take the opportunity to participate in one of over 30 fighting game tournaments.
Youmacon Battle Opera 2018 takes place on November 2nd at Cobo Hall. Several new fighting games will be available, like Fighting EX Layer, Blade Strangers, and SoulCalibur VI. Other than current titles like Street Fighter V, Dragon Ball FighterZ, and Tekken 7, expect a few classics like Melty Blood: Actress Again Current Code, Sailor Moon S, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Windjammers, and many more.
