Red Bull Esports discusses the polarizing opinions regarding grapplers in fighting games

One doesn’t have to look too far to find how polarizing large grapplers can be in fighting games. Whereas some people get hype watching characters like Zangief, Abigail, and Birdie perform on the screen, others will be quick to decry the characters as cheap and overpowered due to their high health and damage outputs.

But once you take a look at the intricacies of the characters, it becomes easy to see why they provide hype. As Red Bull reports, the characters tend to take a higher degree of patience to set up their damage. They also discuss how the characters get hate due to the change in what could be considered — by some — to be proper meta play. Check out the full article here.

Urien has a V-Trigger II bug which completely removes his hurtboxes in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition

While the response to Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition has been positive, it is not without its bugs. Urien has one that is potentially game-breaking until Capcom releases a patch to rectify it.

While toying around in the code, WydD — developer of sfvsim — discovered a bug where usage of Urien’s V-Trigger II can cause his hurtboxes to disappear, which translates into a completely invincible Urien. The bug is a result of his armor for V-Trigger II’s charged moves sharing the same ID as his hurtboxes, so when the armor is removed, so too the hurtboxes. He also notes that there is a PC workaround for now, but this is only in place of what will have to be an impending patch from Capcom.
