Arguably no-one in the returning cast benefited more from the changes in season 2 than Laura. The ju-jitsu grappler has become one of the strongest characters in the game, with heavy mixup potential that will leave you on the ground for a great deal of the match, should you not know how to defend against her.
With that, Javits Arias has created a breakdown of the general Laura matchup over the course of the last few days on Twitter. Given how it could be difficult to sift through his tweets to find all of that, Javits took the liberty of compiling it into an Evernote for everyone’s perusal.
While BlazBlue: Central Fiction may be the title in the Arc System Works universe that is hot off the presses, that doesn’t mean that earlier titles in the series are out of tech to discover. In this instance, we are looking at Chronophantasma EXTEND, and Bang Shishigami.
Watch the fast-talking ninja put together some amazing combos and resets into fully powerful okizeme options that will leave you knowing that Bang is both the hero we want and need.
We’re back for day 3 of our Street Fighter V Season 2 roundup. While we have some returning cast members today, we do have a few that haven’t been prominently featured yet.
Up first is Chun-Li, who received some noticeable changes in her normals this season. This has affected some of her combo potential, and here we have a full compendium from CharmingRogue of what she is now capable of in the combo department.
Next up, we have a solid seven minutes of impressive combos from characters all across the board, courtesy of Venom44.
Next we have some more Urien setups–as if there weren’t enough out there already! Urien is looking amazingly strong this season, and it will be impressive to see what people do with him competitively this year.
Been wondering about how to whip people around with Axl? Wonder no more!
This Axl combo video is equal parts amazing and accessible. While the combos also look nice, all of them look to be equally viable within tournament play. It is further made easier to learn how to rock these combos out yourself, by the fact that full notation in slow-motion is given after each combo, so you can try these out in the lab on your own.
Brace yourselves, for today we have more amazing footage from the true demon himself, Akuma. First off, desk brings us his second Akuma combo video this week: this one is quite the doozy, and features some of desk’s trademark high-execution goodness.
Next up, we have various crush counter hit confirms and mixups off of crouching fierce, courtesy of Mr. Slay n man.
Next up, evilhoshi has brought us this combo video from neekogaming, which focuses on confirms off of anti-airs. If you though Juri’s anti-air game was looking solid, you haven’t seen anything yet.
Jhun also sent us this Let It Die-themed tutorial video which covers Akuma’s various combos and meaties, as well as his V-Trigger.
And finally, we have a video showcasing how Akuma can kill a character with less than 950 health off of one mixup from midscreen.
Dr. Mario is a very under-utilized character within Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. But like most lesser-played characters in general, that doesn’t mean he can’t provide some flashy combos. It always seems that the lesser-known the character is, the better the combo video seems to be.
And this one lives up to that maxim. Watch some flashy combos, resets, and setups that will leave you with a fever, and the only prescription will be more Dr. Mario.
PC players of Street Fighter V updated their games and likely tasted a few ounces of salt when they did. The ones who had modified their games with custom character costumes saw that they were no longer to be found. The problem wasn’t an overwrite of their character costumes, but a simple issue of the developers changing each character’s code in the game files. By modifying your character codes to match the new one, your costumes will work once more.
Painwheel is known for being a low tier character in Skullgirls 2nd Encore, and most certainly has a damage handicap. That, however, doesn’t stop her from having some flashy combos.
Catch some of these insane solo combos, with a smattering of assisted combos–featuring the likes of Peacock and fellow low tier Big Band–as she spins her wheel, and everyone ends up losing their life.
We are 48 hours into Season 2, and the new tech keeps rolling in. Everyone is in the lab finding stuff they refuse to save for nationals, and everyone is on the hunt for all things that will help them elevate their game in Street Fighter V. So without further adieu, here is our Day 2 Roundup.
It seems that desk is busy as a bee this week, buzzing about in training mode. With Season 2 as a pseudo-Christmas present for the combo maestro, he’s producing a ton of content. In this video, he revisits the perennial world warrior Ryu, and goes over new combos for Season 2 of Street Fighter V. With many of his moves altered in the update, it seems that the shoto’s combo potential has opened up significantly.
However, not all is coming up roses for Juri, as it does appear that Laura has a tool to beat her Critical Art.
Back to talking about Season 1’s official heel, R. Mika. Here are some new Season 2 combos for R. Mika. It seems like the Irish Whip nerf hasn’t quite deterred the wrestler.
Moreover, UltraChen found a new hit confirm into Mika’s critical art.
Finally, we have a new Urien meaty setup that will add more danger to being in the corner against him.
Tune in tomorrow for more of that meaty tech you crave! (And thanks to everyone that sent in tips!)
Akuma came pre-loaded with one of the coolest glitches ever: if you connect a Raging Demon and then reset the match in the middle of it, you will only see character silhouettes instead of the fully colored models. This is definitely not an intended feature of the game, but makes for some awesome visuals.
Who else to capitalize on such a cool glitch but the sultan of cool glitches, desk. Utilizing this he assembled this combo video–featuring every character–that is equal parts stylish and awesome.
