Unbalance your opponent with this Goro Daimon combo video for The King of Fighters XIV

The version 2.00 update of The King of Fighters XIV impacted judo grappler Goro Daimon in an odd way. As Persona Entertainment notes in his latest combo video’s description, some damage values were shifted around, resulting in slightly less damage output overall.

To compensate, the EX Jiraishin ground pound was buffed both in neutral and in combos, allowing Goro to more easily do flashy and damaging mid screen juggles. 60% off two meters, as demonstrated early on in the video, is certainly nothing to sneeze at. More importantly, perhaps, is the fact that versatility is always a welcome addition to any grappler’s repertoire.

Dantarion’s TOOLASSISTED bot is now terrorizing Tekken 7 (and providing valuable hitbox displays, too!)

Dantarion, the mastermind behind the popular Street Fighter bot TOOLASSISTED, is retooling and unleashing this beast onto Tekken 7.

And as hilarious as it is watching ranked players figuring out they are fighting the matrix, not all of Dantarion’s efforts are for trolling laughs. Behind the scenes, he’s gathering up frame data and breaking down the game’s mechanics and hitboxes. Anyone that’s used his frame tools for Street Fighter know how valuable his work can be for high-level players.

Though compiling a website hitbox viewer for Tekken 7 like he has for Street Fighter is likely impossible, it’s clear he’s working towards some form of release for this information. In the mean time, you can check out more of his work on his YouTube, Twitch, or Twitter.

Tekken 7 video roundup: Law Dragon Stance cancels, King and Nina okizeme, Gigas Goliath Traps and more

Another day, another torrent of Tekken 7 tech. It’s probably not surprising that a legacy series like Tekken is still inspiring tech from players, especially now that it seems like more and more content creators are escaping the combo vortex of training mode.

King Gaming Marks shows us that if you have your Dragon Stance cancels down, Law’s WS+3 will force the opponent to deal with DSS 2 both on block and hit. And if for whatever reason you don’t have your DSS down…

…. then cheezy217 will show you everything you need to know about executing this important Law technique!

Dedicated King expert BoxeR-King shows off King’s wakeup options after landing his coveted Shining Wizard command grab.

Be careful how you get up after Xiaoyu’s 1+3 grab. As AV Game demonstrates, she can murder you if you choose the wrong option.

And lastly, xMTSento shows us some frightening wake up options for Nina.

Check out the top 15 moves for every Tekken 7 character, as compiled by Silent Shadow

NBSilentShadow over at Drunkardshade.com has taken on the unenviable task of compiling the top moves of each Tekken character all on one page. This living document, which also houses several resource links for frame data and Tekken Zaibatsu’s Discord server, can be found here. It was created in collaboration with several specialist players, and known names within the Tekken community, each player outlined by the character listed.

It’s worth noting that these move lists, while great for a quick reference if you’re picking up a new character, are based on the arcade version of the game. The console version has had several stealth changes that are also being compiled on TekkenZaibatsu’s main thread.

The Wii U Pokkén controller and Brook Universal Fighting Board are now compatible with the Nintendo Switch

After the latest 3.0 firmware upgrade, the HORI Pokkén Tournament Controller and Brook Universal Fighting Board are now both compatible with the Nintendo Switch.

For the popular Pokkén controller, this is almost definitely because of the latest announcement for Pokkén Tournament DX. It is worth noting that the Pokkén controller has shown compatibility in odder places in the past:

By making the Pokkén controller work with the Nintendo Switch — whether intentional or not — the Brook Universal Fighting Board now works with the Switch, too. Brook was working on compatibility for the Switch in the past; it sounds like their job got a lot easier.

Mr Peck shares assortment of Peacock tricks for beating anti-zoning tools in Skullgirls 2nd Encore

Peacock has been one of  Skullgirls’ primary zoning characters since the game’s initial release. Over time, a lot of players have discovered or developed their own ways to beat the cartoony character’s zoning options. If you intend to play Peacock, you need to know you’re going to be up against, and how to deal with it.

And that’s why Mr Peck has put together this thorough exploration of the Skullgirl’s cast’s anti-zoning tools. If you’re having trouble getting past everything from Parasoul’s bodyguard to Big Band’s brass assist, you’ll want to check out the work he’s done here.

Whip your combo skills into shape with Persona Entertainment’s The King of Fighters XIV combo video

Persona Entertainment is back with another The King of Fighters XIV combo video, this time for the appropriately-named NESTs agent Whip.

While Persona admits they finds Whip’s combo potential low, it doesn’t stop them from coming up with multiple 100% combos with this assassin. Several of her attacks, including supers, will hit during OTG states, allowing her to get impressive looking (and high damage!) combos despite her comparatively limited options.

As a new character, not much has changed for her between versions 2.00 and 2.01, but that doesn’t mean the work here is any less flashy or commendable.

World Warrior shows off anti-back roll setups for Nash in Street Fighter V

Last time he checked in with us, World Warrior gifted us with anti-back roll tech for the rushdown shoto Ken in Street Fighter V. If you’re a Nash player looking for similar tech, then World Warrior’s latest video for the boom-chucking zombie should interest you.

Many of these counterhit setups lead from combos starting with crouching MP, which is one of his main combo starter tools in SFV. Guile’s lost partner may have been nerfed after Season 1, but he’s far from neutered.
