SNK Classics WORLD HEROES and The King of Fighters 2002: Unlimited Match Playable on Xbox One

Two classic SNK fighting games, WORLD HEROES and The King of Fighters 2002: Unlimited Match, are now playable on the Xbox One platform. A digital copy of WORLD HEROES is now available on the Xbox Game Store, and The King of Fighters: 2002 has just been added to the list of backwards-compatible Xbox 360 games.

The long-retired WORLD HEROES was released in 1992, just months after the appearance of Street Fighter II: Champion Edition and–as the name implies–it shares a similar premise of fighters of various nationalities clashing in different parts of the world.

The King of Fighters 2002: Unlimited Match roster hosts fan-favorites like Fatal Fury’s Yamazaki and Blue Mary, and the Akira-inspired K999. The “Unlimited Match” update of the game includes an appended roster and a graphics update that should stream beautifully on a next-gen system.

Purchase The King of Fighters 2002: Unlimited Match digitally here for $9.99.

Purchase World Heroes here for $7.99.

Follow Up R. Mika’s Critical Art with One of These Meaty Setups in Street Fighter V

When it comes to dominating a match with R. Mika in Street Fighter V, one can never have too many setups in their repertoire! In this videos, HDJammerz shows us how to make the most out of landing R.Mika’s Critical Art by following it up with a tactfully-timed meaty setup.

R. Mika’s Critical Art, Peach Assault, leaves her at a relatively close distance to the opponent after it hits. Still, the distance is great enough that an opponent might still be caught off guard by her forward dash, and would try to punish it rather than avoid what attack may follow. The video covers a few of the safer routes you can take to capitalize off of the meaty damage opportunities–also noting the options available if an opponent decides to perform a delayed wakeup–and how the setups fare against three-frame attacks and invincible moves.

Notes are included on-screen so that viewers can better keep up with the specifics.

More SFV Season 2 Mika tech videos are available on HDJammerz’ channel.

Learn the Nature of Swamp Thing’s Attacks in Injustice 2 with This Gameplay Walkthrough from IGN

The Injustice 2 reveal trailer for Swamp Thing showcased some of the nature-based attacks that he will bring to battle, but the specific “nature” of each attack is difficult to determine based on the trailer alone. Shedding some more light on the mysterious green entity, IGN’s gameplay walkthrough for Swamp Thing breaks down some of his basic moves, and how they lay the framework for his play style.

As the footage from the trailer indicated, Swamp thing is a relatively slow-moving character, but he has a number of long-range attacks that give him a presence on just about every part of the stage. He is also described in the video as a “grappler” with a set of powerful grabs at his disposal, so it seems he will be a formidable foe from up close as well as from a distance. It is apparent that his weakness will be characters with quick attacks and high mobility, so the emphasis will be on controlling the pace of the match when using Swamp Thing.

Check out the video to see the specific attack names, and how they will manifest themselves in a match.

BigBoysToys Tease a “Big” Update with a Short-But-Sweet Street Fighter Comic

BigBoysToys have teased their forthcoming figure with a digital mini comic that begins with the toy versions of Ken and Ryu engaging in a friendly squabble, and ends with Ryu undergoing a strange transformation.Though everyone’s first guess is probably that the ominous presence is Evil Ryu, the transformation of the toy Ryu seemingly causes him to triple in size.

Seeing as that a size increase is not a typical part of the Dark Hadou’s powers, it can be assumed that BBT is hinting that their next product will be a larger figure, which is a different take for them as their current line of Street Fighter collectibles have all been a consistent, matching size, with the same stylistically stout appearance.

Check out the comic below, and see if you can guess with the “big” news is.

Bring a Fireball to a Gun Fight: Daigo Umehara and Gunfight Go Head-to-Head in Street Fighter V

HyperX’s Daigo “The Beast” Umehara and Alex hero Gunfight look very evenly matched in these Street Fighter V Ranked matches. Though they have different playstyles, one thing they have in common is how they seem to have adjusted to their main Street Fighter V characters’ respective Season 2 changes.

While Alex is considered by some to be a “dead” character due to his recent nerfs, in the hands of Gunfight the changes are hardly noticeable. The same can be said about Umehara’s character, who was also grazed by the nerf axe. Though the players’ strategies are subtly different, in this case it is difficult to tell whether their characters are objectively worse off.

Roughly 23 minutes of their clashes in Ranked are captured in the video below. Ryu and Alex mains who are struggling in Season 2 could benefit greatly from observing these top-tier character specialists!

Xian and HumanBomb Fight an Explosive FT5 Set in Street Fighter V

Lightning Legs and glops of poison fly in this set between RZR|Xian and HuomaoTV|HumanBomb! While this is presumably just a friendly match, the first-to-five clash gets pretty fierce as both players remain constantly on the offensive.

While their main character choices may be on (nearly) opposite ends of the tier list, in terms of skill these two players are neck-and-neck. Due to Season 2 changes, Xian has said that he would drop F.A.N.G in favor of a higher tier character–but he appears to still hold his own just fine against an A-list Chun player. F.A.N.G’s still got a lot of tricky antics to threaten with; though while struggling at some points, in this set HumanBomb looks anything but overwhelmed.

It is interesting to see how Xian and HumanBomb are adjusting to Season 2. With their play styles, skill levels and character choices taken into account, they are easily two of the most entertaining players to watch!

Momochi Makes a Fiery Return to Street Fighter V’s Ranked Mode

We haven’t seen too much Street Fighter V footage of Echo Fox’s Momochi lately–but considering his track record, it’s hard to doubt that he’s staying at the top of his game. In this footage that seems to confirm that statement as fact, Momochi reappears in Street Fighter V online Ranked matches and unleashes a Ken that’s looking mightier than ever.

Just as he made the transition from Street Fighter IV to Street Fighter V Ken, Momochi has adjusted to Season 2’s Ken rather well. With the year and season still being relatively young, it’ll be interesting to see what kind of damage he does in 2017 under the Echo Fox banner.

Feed Your Foes Vengeance with These Birdie Bull Revenger Setups for Street Fighter V

Birdie’s Bull Revenger is a good way to close the gap when facing zoners in Street Fighter V, but it is by no means a move free of consequence. Knowing how and when to execute it is essential to staying in range where the real damage can be done.

In this video, NurseLee gives us five meaty Bull Revenger setups that can help you step up your Birdie game. It is noted at the beginning of the video that opponents should either delay their wakeup or quick rise to combat the command throw, and he covers both sides of the 50/50 split.

Complete with on-screen frame data and inputs, viewers should be able to easily break down the setups in training mode and start practicing them right away.

New Patch for The Last Blade 2 Improves Input Delay and Fixes Bugs

While everyone generally seems to be enjoying the recent PS4/PS Vita port of SNK’s feudal fighter The Last Blade 2, a patch was made to address a few of the imported title’s less enjoyable aspects. Announced on the SNK Facebook page KOF WORLD,  the patch is intended to improve the games input lag and and fix specific bugs. Two bugs that stands out is the game either freezing or completely crashing on the Large Fire at Wadamoya stage and the lack of strong netplay.

While there are no notes to verify which specific bugs are fixed, the patches are live now, so owners of the game can check it out for themselves. You can purchase a digital copy of The Last Blade 2 for both PS Vita and PS4 in the Playstation Store.
