The King of Fighters XIV has been on a roll since launch; players have been making content for it nonstop, from CMVs to tutorials to reasons you should be playing and more, and that has shown no signs of slowing down since the game released. This time we’re showcasing the YouTuber LostFeather413, who has compiled this massive collection of combos, with some for every character. Whether you’re looking for combos for your own main or just want to see what the cast is capable of, this is an excellent exhibition.

This same content creator also saw to it to find as many 100% combos he could find and compile them. Most of them appear impractical in a real match, of course, but they are interesting to watch regardless.

Every day, Super Smash Bros. players are trying to improve their skills and master complex techniques to operate at peak performance; then there are some players who, comparatively, spend their day finding simple joy in what would be widely considered silly or useless actions. While these players don’t usually garner much attention, there is something magical about finding and exploiting a competitively useless mechanic. YouTuber Ninkendo recently showcased some examples of some such mechanics on his channel, doing a fine job of showing the world that there’s nothing wrong with a little bit of lighthearted fun in fighting games.

In any given fighting game, the most important aspect of play is defense. Great defense makes the difference between taking a match or getting overwhelmed, and this fine line is made even more intense in high-speed anime fighting franchise like Guilty Gear. However, to balance out that crazy pressure, more complex defensive options are available to help the player cope.

This iteration of CL|Novril’s Guilty Gear Crash Course focuses solely on defense, breaking down the stark differences between Instant Blocking and Faultless Defense, and how each option is capable of turning the tides on your opponent’s pressure.

Mods are a unique thing in any gaming community. Taking something so familiar to every player and altering it can have a wide range of reactions, as it takes a delicate touch to make something truly special. For example, the care and effort that modder JoeTE put into this Dry Bowser mod for Bowser in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is truly breathtaking.

That same modder also made a Galacta Knight mod for Meta Knight, which looks lovely. Another mod we are looking at today, though, is from a separate person taking a crack at Sonic The Hedgehog. KTH is the modder behind this Classic Sonic, apparently modeled in part after his Sonic Generations appearance.

With The King of Fighters XIV still fresh off the presses, new content is rapidly being produced for its massive roster by players immersing themselves in the new title. One such player, YouTuber Coliflowerz, took it upon themselves to map out some of Zarina’s prominent normals, as well as her reversals and many of her combo options. They meticulously chart out spacing, meter, and character specific combos, with a conversion for nearly every occasion.

Popular opinion about Marth in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is starting to change, with top players like MK Leo, Mr. E and Pugwest placing highly with a character that was once though to be only mid tier. While Marth has fantastic kill power with his tipper on the end of his sword, it can be troublesome to position yourself correctly to kill with this sweet spot.

Between percentage knowledge and overall spacing, guaranteeing kills as Marth can be difficult as someone trying to pick up the character for the first time. A lot of the mod attention for Smash games is given to Project M but it is one of many community mods out there. Smash 3, one of the more ambitious mods, is attempting to port over the visual style of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U to Brawl. This means swapping or completely remaking the more vibrant character models of Smash 4 to replace Brawl’s realistic models.

Seeing as it is a general texture mod, Smash 3 works with both standard Brawl and Project M, so characters like Roy (who was absent from Brawl) also get the visual overhaul. In the trailer below, you see Marth, Ike and Roy all benefiting from this change in art style. If you are someone who is caught between both Smash 4 and Project M, this mod may act as the perfect way to bridge the gap between the two.
