Electronic Arts is Laying Off 350 Staff Members
Variety is reporting that Electronic Arts is laying off 350 employees out of its 9,000-strong staff. EA CEO Andrew Wilson wrote, “Today we took some important steps as a company to address our challenges and prepare for the opportunities ahead. We have made changes to our marketing and publishing organization, our operations teams, and we are ramping down our current presence in Japan & Russia as we focus on different ways to serve our players in those markets.”

Funcom’s New Game, Moons of Madness, Has Ties to Secret World Legends
Funcom will be launching a new “cosmic horror game” called Moons of Madness at Halloween this year. While cool in and of itself, it’s also got a nifty tie in to Secret World Legends. Main protagonist Shane Newehart is a “technician stationed at the Invictus, a secret research base built by the Orochi group”. Moons of Madness will be out for PlayStation 4, XBox One and PC in October.

From Software is best known for the Souls series of games which have caused more than one person to rage in a fury over how hard they can be. Its newest game starts fresh in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, set in feudal Japan featuring a lone Shinobi seeking to rescue his lost Lord. Will this new game be more of the same or something unique and worth the price of admission? This is our review of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. But really, it’s more like “you’ll die a thousand times”.

Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood Finale Arrives with Today’s v4.56 Update
With the launch of v4.56 for Final Fantasy XIV, players will see the events of the Stormblood expansion come to a close as the stage is set for the Shadowbringers expansion coming July 2nd. Players will find more adventures with Hildibrand, enjoy some new emotes, earn new items and those at end game can take part in an 8-player fight against Yojimbo. Between now and the July release of Shadowbringers, more features and content will be released including a FFXV crossover event on April 16th.
