VesperArcade examines Falke’s V-Triggers and considers her overall potential in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition

How sharp are the Guardian Hawk’s talons?

Falke has been in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition for nearly a week, and amid the usual delving into her gameplay the overall question is naturally “Is she good?” Not many players want to spend time and (Fight) money on a character that can’t hold her own against the existing cast. So far, the general feeling seems to be that Falke is lacking in many areas… or is it too early to tell?

VesperArcade tackles this topic in the new video below, with an in-depth look at what Falke brings to the game, and her potential going forward in SFV.

If you’re looking to improve your own gameplay with Falke, VesperArcade also offers this V-Trigger guide to help you get a handle on her V-System abilities.

The SRK Rollback: Best of April 20-26, 2018

Welcome to the Rollback: a frame-by-frame look back at our past week’s most notable news — and our favorite SRK articles — from April 20 to April 26, 2018!

Zavian “mushin_Z” Sildra, Editor-in-Chief:

Frame 1:
sfv cammy glove
TOPANGA League players share their Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition Season 3.5 tier lists

As subjective as tier lists can be, seeing the thoughts of high-level pros on where characters stack up against each other provides some very interesting insight into SFV’s metagame.

Frame 2:
kuroda
BeasTV drops 14-minute trailer for “9road” indie film, starring Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike legend Kuroda

This is one of the most bizarre — and most intriguing — Street Fighter fan projects we’ve seen yet. An indie sci-fi thriller featuring Eita and Kuroda, built upon the mystery of SFIII’s enigmatic “Q”…?! We need to see it.

Frame 3:
Zamasu (Fused) Character Trailer Featured Image
Zamasu (Fused) gameplay trailer for Dragon Ball FighterZ displays divine dissonance

With this celestial megalomaniac on the way to DBFZ, we can soon expect the reveal of his fused counterpart and opponent Vegito (SSGSS), most likely.

Capcom updates Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition patch notes for Season 3.5 and the version 3.030 update

Done wrong: sneaking in balance changes unannounced, or leaving them off the patch notes; done right: not making us wait too long to reveal those additions and errors.

Crow_Spaceboy, Assistant Editor:

Frame 1:
dissidia_nt_vayne
Vayne Carudas Solidor graces Dissidia Final Fantasy NT on April 26

I’m happy to live in a time where Vayne is a fighting game character, that’s all.

Frame 2:

Street Fighter “You Lose” 32-gigabyte flash drive to be released by BigBoyToysHK in June

Please send help. I think there’s something clinically wrong with me, because it’s been four days and I still laugh every time I see this thing.

Frame 3:
forhonortraining
For Honor receives Training Mode and some rebalancing in a free content patch

Yeah, but… why now? Why release a training mode one year later, after your game completely tanked in the FGC? Who is this for? Where am I?

Frame 4:

ARIKA drops short Fighting EX Layer trailer showing off updated UI, plans to bring game to Combo Breaker 2018

Time to see who’s paying attention. I promise a big kiss to the individual that can get me to Combo Breaker. Five if you’re dressed as Shadow Geist.

Frame 5:
bladestrangers feature image
New fighting game Blade Strangers is launching this summer on PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch

I dunno, man. I don’t think this game’s going to set the world on fire or anything but I think the fact it’s getting a PC release is pretty cool, and it looks like it’d be fun to mess with. Master T’s design is sick and I thank this game for introducing it to me.

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition adds Darkness Revenger — a.k.a. Shadow Nash — to Extra Battle as a boss challenge

Agent Shadow returns to take your Fight Money in Extra Battle!

The “evil” version of Nash has arrived in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition — and it’s not the “Genbu Nash” outfit that Bonchan received a while back. Along with the third challenge to earn Guile’s Nameless Super Soldier Crossover Costume, Capcom added a new boss to Extra Battle last night: the Darkness Revenger.

Darkness Revenger menu card

Nash’s even-darker alter ego follows the same pattern as the Shadaloo Apparition (M. Bison) and Shin Akuma bosses that previously appeared as Extra Battle challenges: unlimited tries at 1000 FM a pop, and a unique title awarded for your win (and XP for additional wins). He’s described as an “extremely difficult” opponent, and he’s powered-up in the usual arguably-broken SF boss fashion. Get ready for psychic-style CPU input-reading, instant Critical Arts, and a lot of aggression.

Darkness Revenger start

If you want to take Agent Shadow on, jump in soon — he’s only lurking in Extra Battle until April 29th.
