Capcom Pro Tour 2018 Online Ranking events start on April 14th for LATAM North, other regions to follow!

Your chance to compete in the CPT from the comfort of your home has arrived — or will be coming soon, at least!

Capcom has opened registration for the first of 2018’s Capcom Pro Tour Online qualifiers with LATAM North #1 this weekend, on April 14th. LATAM North includes Mexico, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Republic of Panama, and Puerto Rico. Head over to smash.gg to register if you’re in one of these regions!

Capcom promises more online Ranking events to follow; we should see some information on those very soon!

Beerus wreaks stylish destruction upon his opponents in this Dragon Ball FighterZ combo exhibition from Combonauts

Nothing has more swagger than ending a nice long combo with a “HAKAI.”

In Dragon Ball FighterZ, Beerus is essentially built at design level for the crazy and impractical combos that the Combonauts excel in, thanks to his persistent and versatile Orbs of Destruction. The perfect spacing and timing necessary to make the most of these “projectiles” may be difficult (if not near-impossible) to achieve in an actual match, but that makes it no less fun to see how the God of Destruction can use them to play pinball with his opponents!

Competitors reach for victory in these replays from the ARMS US & Canada Online Open

Brace yourself for over two hours of ARMS action!

Nintendo’s own original fighting franchise ARMS is still grabbing players with its stretchy and strategic spin on the fighting game concept. To promote the title, Nintendo recently held an event for North American ARMS fans: the US & Canada Online Open, taking place at the end of March.

For a hefty fistful of what ARMS competition looks like, check out these VODs of the event from Nintendo; you can watch the semi-finals and top 8, all the way to B2S¤Gryff and Resolve battling it out in the Grand Final.

ARMS will also be a featured title at the upcoming SwitchFest from 2GG.

Street Fighter V Season 3.5 roundup: Sakura Hanakaze setups, Alex meaties, Ken and Balrog changes, and more!

The community is still sorting out the aftermath of the surprise Season 3.5 balance patch for Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition that dropped last week. This patch meant some changes — in some cases slight, in many cases significant — for every character. Here are  a few examples of what the cast can do in SFV’s new normal.

NurseLee took Sakura into the lab to put together some Hanakaze throw setups for Sakura:

With the reversion of Alex’s standing jab, NurseLee reminds us what meaties can be performed with it again:
