The Conan Exiles site has been updated with a new developer blog that discusses the “arsenal of weapons” and their importance both for battle and for survival. Some weapons are designed for the kill, others for capturing and enthralling slaves.
Conan Exiles – Age of Conan Composer to Return for Exiles
Conan Exiles is getting a seasoned composer for its music in the form of Knut Avenstroup. Avenstroup was the composer for Age of Conan. He will be writing several tracks for the game and Conan Exiles will also feature some of Avenstroup’s music from AoC. To celebrate the announcement, Funcom has released a video featuring a sample of Avenstoup’s work.
Conan Exiles – Stream #2: Thralls, Crafting and Combat
In case you missed the Conan: Exiles live stream on Friday, December 16th, Funcom has put together a neat rebroadcast of the event that shows off the game play demonstrated during the stream. Conan Exiles – Digital Comic Announced & Live Stream This Friday
Funcom has a pair of announcements of interest to Conan Exiles fans. The first is that a new digital comic will be produced to give a unique look at the world the game will feature. It is being published by Dark Horse Comics and will be available in January.
Conan Exiles – Survive in the World of Conan
IGN scored a new video from Conan Exiles that challenges (future) players to survive in the World of Conan. The challenge comes from surviving the elements, hostile humans, monsters, avatars of the gods, dehydration, starvation and more.
Conan Exiles – New Developer Diary Explores Character Creation
In a new developer blog post on the Conan Exiles site, the team takes a look at the first steps in the game, most notably character creation. Starting with a rather grim scene of crucifixion and prefabricated faces that can be adjusted to suit a player’s taste. Hair, skin color, fourteen races and ethnicities are all included, all taken from the original literature.

Conan Exiles – Bi-Weekly Devs Streams to Lead Up to Early Access Release
Funcom has announced that the development team behind Conan Exiles will be starting a bi-weekly live stream series beginning on Friday, December 2nd at 10:00 am Pacific / 1:00 pm Eastern. The series will continue all the way through the Early Access launch of Conan Exiles on January 31st. Devs plan to show off what the game has to offer, how development is progressing and much more.

Yesterday, Funcom’s Joel Bylos and Jens Erik took part in a Reddit AMA all about Conan Exiles. The team has compiled the “highlight reel” from the event with some pretty tasty new information including such things as differences between CE and ARK, how deep the existing lore is embedded in the game, camel punching (yeah, it’s a thing!), microtransactions, and more.
