Final Fantasy XIV Game Director Naoki Yoshida has been given a position on the Square Enix Board of Directors. The announcement was made as part of the latest investors’ quarterly meeting. Yoshida has been instrumental in the amazing turnaround of Final Fantasy XIV and, as tipster ‘Coolit’said, is “very much deserved”.

Square Enix is getting ready to celebrate Little Ladies’ Day in Final Fantasy XIV. The event will run from Thursday, March 1st through Wednesday, March 14th. During the event, the Songbirds have once again returned and players get a chance to use emotes to cheer them on. The reward for their devotion nets Certificates of Collaboration that can be redeemed for items to be used on personal estates. These items include furnishings that are said to be “quite cute” according to the dev diary.

The Final Fantasy XIV Lodestone has been updated with a new developer blog to detail some of the forthcoming QoL changes coming in v4.2, most notably the UI. The alterations in the UI allow players to do things such as assign functions to a variety of keys, to resize the speech window, “triple triad NPC overhead icons” are being adjusted and the item level on food will properly display.
The Final Fantasy XIV microsite for patch 4.2 has been updated with a few new posts to reveal the first information about 4.2. This time, Glamour Dressers, Beast Tribe Quests and other, additional updates, are included.
