During F.A.N.G’s Character Prologue in Street Fighter V, it’s mentioned that he was the leader of a large drug cartel, the Nguuhao, who had allied with Shadaloo, and under the guise of displaying their “vassalage” attempted to stage a coup against M. Bison–but underestimating the strength of his Psycho Power, as well as his immunity to their Poison Hand techniques, they were systematically exterminated, save for the “Cunning Trickster.” F.A.N.G immediately pledged loyalty to Shadaloo and become the organization’s new Fourth Heavenly King, replacing the long-departed Sagat in the overall hierarchy.

Now, the Shadaloo Activity Report and Private Nakagawa take a deeper look inside this once-powerful organization and its members.

Private Nakagawa: This time we speak of members of an organization active in the past throughout Asia, the Nguuhao. Are you asking me if they once came into our Shadaloo base? I wasn’t enrolled at that time yet, so I don’t know.

Private Nakagawa: It seems that, as a rule, the Nguuhao’s members can’t expose their true names. Moreover, they can’t reveal what sort of techniques they are learning.  It is said they all start by learning the basic usage of poison, until it has been tightly hammered into them, and then each member begins to hone his personal techniques. Speaking of which, we’ve also obtained these images.

Private Nakagawa: Hmm, he resembles someone… Who could he be? He seems scary, doesn’t he?

That seems to be the extent of Shadaloo’s intel on the now-extinct Nguuhao. Hopefully, this provided some interesting insights for F.A.N.G players on the character’s past and origins. If there was one piece of Street Fighter V news that everyone was waiting for Capcom to drop at the Tokyo Game Show 2016, it was the release date for Season One’s final DLC character, Urien. It seems that in this regard, Capcom did not disappoint!

During the Capcom Channel livestream for TGS, Capcom finally announced the release date for the Urien will be September 22, 2016. That’s right, the metal-skinned Illuminati lord is officially coming to Street Fighter V next Thursday!

Urien isn’t the only thing coming in on the 22nd, however! As detailed on the updated Capcom-Unity blog, the upcoming patch will also add in new stage transitions for many of the game’s stages. We’ve covered these before, as intrepid dataminers on PC have been able to find their animations. However, with the update we’ll finally get to see them working properly in-game.

For a quick sample of this, Sea has shared a short clip from the TGS stream of the Kanzuki Stage left side transition (including the samurai helmet that falls on the defeated opponents head) on Twitter.

And that’s not nearly all. As promised, we’re also getting the daily challenges, a vs. CPU mode, and–at long last–the statistic-tracking function in the Fighter Profiles. Premium costumes will now have their additional colors unlocked, and the colors formerly only unlockable through Survival Mode will be available for purchase as well–and last but not least, a slew of bug fixes and balance changes. Fans of Sega’s time-honored and highly technical fighting series Virtua Fighter: if you claim Xbox One as your console of choice, you can now enjoy Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown on your new system. The game has been added to the ever-growing list of backwards-compatible Xbox 360 games.

Other games added this week included Bound By Flame and The Maw. No playable version of VF5 has properly graced the PlayStation 4 yet: unless you count the game’s upcoming inclusion in Yakuza 6’s arcade.

At the beginning of Dhalsim’s Character Prologue in Street Fighter V, Rashid identifies him as, “One of the seven Yoga Masters in the world you gotta meet at least once,” noting that’s “what the net calls him, anyway.” In the latest set of CFN Portal profiles from the Shadaloo Activity Report, as told by Shadaloo soldier Private Nakagawa, we have full details on the other six Yoga Masters–so if you’ve curious about them, you will have to wonder no longer!

Private Nakagawa: Here’s one of the Seven Masters of Yoga you have to meet at least once, made famous by that site. On what basis of criteria did they choose those Seven Masters?

About 30 years ago, in the village where a young Jagjit was living, a disastrous flood occurred, leaving the villagers stymied and in big trouble. It seems he teleported over 50 people at one time to their safety, and thats’ how his legend started. It’s said his spiritual powers surpass even those of Dhalsim. [His name comes from Jagjit Singh, an Indian singer who is widely known in Japan.]

Private Nakagawa: Of course we’re going to do all of them. Another one of the Seven Yoga Masters you have to meet at least once. A Master of “wisdom,” with a vast amount of knowledge.

In the meantime, the vast majority of your problems would have been resolved by themselves.

He’s famous for the exciting trick of lifting up four gigantic elephants with his legs. Since becoming famous, he has developed a noticeable haughtiness and generally arrogant attitude. The “G” in his name stands for “Great.”

Private Nakagawa: And we continue (are you tired already?)! One of the Seven Yoga Masters you have to meet at least once. Could this one be stronger than Dhalsim when it comes to techniques?

In this state, he can roll and squash his foe with the “Yoga Iron Ball,” a dangerous technique. Since his body weight increases as well, he cannot use it indoors. Surprisingly, no one wants to be his disciple. By the way, gulab jamun is the name of a delicious dessert!

Private Nakagawa: And finally, the last Master. One of the Seven Yoga Masters you have to meet at least once. It seems he was chosen only recently, as before him there were only 6 Great Masters.

Judging from his height and weight, he’s a young boy of approximately 4 years. He can’t speak with words, but can transmit his thoughts using means of telepathy. Even the most ferocious of animals behave themselves quietly in front of him. It isn’t known where he came from, but he’s been a Yoga Master from his birth.

Private Nakagawa: And we’ve finally presented all of the Yoga Masters. Together with Dhalsim they’re 7, each one with their own personality…

At the Tokyo Game Show, SNK’s Yasuyuki Oda and Hidetoshi “Neo_G” Ishizawa appeared on stage to talk about their plans for the King of Fighters XIV. As part of this, they revealed that a patch for the game will be coming this October.

As part of this, Oda and Ishizawa dropped some early details about the patch. The biggest change is that the “F-shiki” fuzzy guard that was discovered early on will be removed in the patch. Aside from this, they will also be adjusting the game’s input leniency, since some hardcore players were having some issues with it.

In addition to this, the patch will also contain some balance changes. While these changes have yet to be revealed, they did state that their philosophy is to make the characters as strong as possible and then balance them out from there. They did admit however that some things were a bit “too fun” to use, specifically talking about how Nakoruru’s bird Mamahaha goes through all projectiles. That said, they have been getting a lot of good feedback on how it’s generally fun to have strong characters.

Finally, they announced that they would be adding harsher penalties for rage quitters. The previous 1.02 patch already added some penalties, however they felt that these weren’t enough.

Of course, this isn’t all that they talked about at TGS. They also talked a bit about the possibility of future DLC, and how the requests for it have gone beyond their initial expectations–as well as the upcoming King of Fighters World Championship. Iron Galaxy, the publishers of Divekick, have just announced a big sale on the most simple-to-learn fighting game on the planet. This week, they’re offering a discount on the game on the PlayStation store–for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita–for $3.49. Further, not intending to leave PC users out, they have offered a $2.99 deal on Divekick on Steam via the Humble Store.

There is currently no word on a sale for the Xbox 360 or Xbox One versions of the game. However, if you have any of the above four platforms and do not own this title yet, go grab it for a steal!

It’s a happy birthday for Razer’s Xian–we knew his F.A.N.G was good, but 130473 LP good…?

Seems like one of Xian’s fans decided to give him a special birthday present–by putting his name at an unassailable #1 spot on the Capcom Fighters Network. RZR|Xian himself seems appreciative, or at least amused!

Bandai Namco announced via Twitter that the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Closed Beta will begin on October 8, and will run until October 10 on the PlayStation 4. Bandai Namco is also hosting an open beta that will be made available on October 14 through the 17 for all PlayStation Network users on the PS4.

Players that participate in the open beta will gain access to a special item, that will be made available in the full version of the game. Those looking to compete during the beta period can enter a special tournament that will be open to all players.

Unfortunately, folks hoping to join a beta on Xbox One or PC will be unable to do so: according to Bandai Namco, this is a Sony-exclusive event. That being said, those players will only have to wait a little while longer to get their hands on the full version of the game.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 releases on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 25, with the PC version following shortly after on October 28.

In a recent dev vlog which listed the eight character archetypes that will make up the starting roster of their platform fighter, Wavedash Games have revealed their version of the Space Animal. Named Kidd the Space Goat, this satyr-like bounty hunter is perfect for anyone who has played a platform fighter before and wants to jump in straight away and start doing flashy stuff.

Using his pistol and horns to fight, Kidd is an obvious nod to the legacy of the Space Animal across the platform fighting genre: a laser pistol to obviously reference the blasters used by Fox and Falco, and being a goat is no doubt a reference to Mang0, the GOAT of Super Smash Bros. Melee and noted Space Animal user. Much like Ashani’s initial design, Kidd seems a bit generic–sort of like an extra from Ratchet and Clank, or what would happen if you combine Overwatch’s McCree with the main character of a DreamWorks animated movie. Again, it’s early days and as seen with Ashani’s rework, the Wavedash team are capable of giving characters their own injection of personality, after their initial reveal.

We’ll no doubt see more of Kidd in the coming dev vlogs, as well as some actual in-game footage of this platform fighter in action. With Ashani, Kidd, and the unnamed Sword Fighter scheduled to be ready for the end of this year, eager platform fighter fans don’t have to wait much longer. Don’t sleep on the Kidd.

If you head just south of the border to Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico, you will find the Capcom Live Concert Tour performing their premier show at the Plaza de las Artes.

This event, a joint venture between Capcom and Gamacon–a gaming and anime convention happening at the same time in Mexicali–and produced by Shota Nakama and Tommy Tallarico, will feature music from games such as Phoenix Wright, Resident Evil, Mega Man, Okami, and of course: Street Fighter.
