Simply put, the video shows you 20 of Paul’s most common moves and strings, and demonstrates some of the offensive and defensive options you have to combat each one. Most of Paul’s moves are straightforward — but he does have some tricky mix-ups, and strings with optional gaps in-between, that the guide addresses as well.

If you missed the Capcom vs. SNK 2 tutorial series last week, have no fear. Silentscope is back with the continuation of his series, and this time he is taking on one of the most-mixed bag grooves in the bunch.

N-Groove was early on thought of as top tier for its meter, and all the options that it had. However, that opinion has changed in recent years, as it is now thought to be middle tier for the same reason it was once thought top. That doesn’t mean this tier isn’t viable — as many characters can use N-Groove to augment their strengths — but it does require more work than others. Found out exactly how much work in this video.

In most cases, frame traps are easily identified in Pokkén Tournament DX: whenever you block a move with hefty frame advantage, the entire screen flashes yellow for a brief moment in time. However, there’s one situation where it’s not so obvious that you’ve been frame trapped: immediately after a Phase Shift.

Street Fighter V is chock full of setups that are just now getting discovered, and Ken is seeing a much larger repertoire of setups coming out. While setting up meaties on hard knockdowns isn’t anything new, Ken definitely has some options that will make the meaties hard to deal with.

In this video, World Warrior shows off some of the possibilities off a crush counter sweep. These include left/right mix-ups that, when combined with the potential for throw setups, can leave your opponent guessing all day.

Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 characters, for the most part, aren’t that difficult to pick up at the start. The real problem begins after learning their basic moveset and combos. There’s so much character-specific tech out there, it’s hard to know where to go next. But if your goal has been to learn more about Kum Haehyun, you’re in luck.

Voguekun, a well-known Haehyun player in the United States, prepared a “Tech Grimoire,” which is a slightly advanced guide to the character’s techniques. Don’t be afraid, though. As long as you have a basic understanding of Haehyun’s moves — which are player-controllable projectiles, and several kick attacks — you’ll gain a lot from watching this. Voguekun explains the basic flow of okizeme and how to avoid mistakes in setplay. He also goes through confirming into the infamous Shiinken loop.
