You may remember Woolie’s (of Super Best Friends fame) podcast Tales from the Loser’s Bracket a few weeks ago, with special guest Rami “Potatobrain” Nuseir. In part 2 of this podcast, the two are going straight into the Tekken 7 lab to cover common beginner mistakes, and how to overcome them.

Europe’s last Premier event before its Regional Finals — EGX 2017 — saw Mousesports’ Problem X defending the house from both continental and global threats. Capcom’s Matt Edwards was able to catch up with arguably world’s best Bison both before and after his third consecutive CPT win, to talk all things Street Fighter V.
Problem X recently quit his day job to pursue Street Fighter full-time, and that extra practice looks to be paying off. It certainly needed when you play a character like Bison, who requires considerable “mental strength” to play properly, according to Problem X. He is determined to rock out with solo Bison going forward, hoping that continued exposure to bad match-ups will cause him to improve. Cammy is the only character that he would consider swapping off Bison for, but that’s a last resort.
As for what he wants for Bison in a potential third season of Street Fighter V, Problem X would like to see Psycho Crusher return as a special move — only accessible when the dictator is in V-Trigger.
Problem X is guaranteed a spot in Capcom Cup 2017 after his EGX win, and he is currently ranked eighth with 1132 points. With Milan Games Week this weekend, he has the potential to gain even better seeding within the final 32-player bracket.
Of all the new characters in Pokkén Tournament DX, the one most shrouded in mystery was the high flying console-exclusive Decidueye. With less then a week out in the wild, the community has already scored some impressive tech and tournament footage from a major. Let’s take a look!

For field phase, though, check out Bolimar’s 3-day old, tournament-ready Decidueye at SCR 2017’s top 8! In the first round he shows off a 184-damage wall combo in Field phase from a command grab — an odd sight in the Pokkén universe, for sure.
ZyflairGriffane has a great anti-throw combo when Decidueye’s back’s to the wall…
… and a practical example of Decidueye’s Ghost Dashes, a surprising mechanic from a character as mobile as the Ghost Owl. For comparison’s sake, Gengar and Chandelure are the other characters with this mechanic.
It’s not all good news for the new bird in town, though. StDxALLISTER shows of a strange bug that prevents Decidueye from command-grabbing a Lucario near the wall, if they are in high stance.
Evo champ tonosama721 found that the cross-up hitbox of Decidueye’s panic button, 4A (Frenzied Plant), does an absurd amount of damage. Beware, teleport characters!
The latest stage to blast out of the past has an appropriately reminiscent theme.
Street Fighter V is getting a big content update today, which includes (among lots and lots of costumes…) Cammy’s classic Super Street Fighter II level remade for the current game as the English Manor stage. The update isn’t fully live yet (servers are still down) but Xuses has pulled the theme out for us to have a listen. As a version of Cammy’s theme, it sounds much more like her classic theme arrangement than more modern versions, appropriately.
Today may be the most important day of your life — or it may be just Tuesday — because the community hasn’t slowed down one bit when it comes to putting out more videos for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. In this roundup, we have a number of combo videos, as well as tutorials, and some actual matches from top players.
First up, we have a couple of tutorials by Andrew G. The first tutorial focuses on his Dolphin kick loop. Unlike most other flight mode dash cancel loops, Nova’s Dolphin kick loop is a bit harder since players can’t abuse the input priority system and simply hit light punch and heavy punch repeatedly to get the loop. Additionally, the combo can change depending on the height that of the opposing character, so players will have to adjust their air dashes from up forward to plain old forward.
Next up is this tutorial for Iron Man’s “Stairway to Heaven,” flight cancel air dash loop.
For something more focused on actual matches, PND’s Ketchup & Mustard have started recording some videos of their online sets in the game.
Meanwhile, YogaFlame24 has put together match compilations for two of the most exciting players at SoCal Regionals 2017 — Splyce’s Filipino Champ, as well as Richard Nguyen.
In addition to this, they’ve also shared a video with some matches between the American hero LI Joe, and Echo Fox’s SonicFox.
Moving on to combo videos, Novril has shared a combo for Captain Marvel that’s specifically designed to be easy to do — not requiring fly cancelling into her air dash loop — but still damaging enough to be a practical bread-and-butter combo for her.
Zade Ramzi on the other hand has shared a bread-and-butter combo for everybody’s new favorite Darkstalker: Jedah. The combo uses multiple instant air version of his Dolore Oscuro (quarter circle forward kick) by using tiger knee inputs, which can be a bit tricky for some players.
Speaking of Infinity Storms, Olaf Redland has shared with us this Zero combo that uses 3 level 3 Hyper combos, alongside some help from Dormammu and the Mind Stone.
Last, but not least, desk demonstrates how good the Soul Stone can be in the right hands, with this combo showcase built around combos using two characters at the same time with its Infinity Storm.
The Hindu pantheon has arrived in Hand of the Gods, currently in Steam Early Access. The addition of the new deities brings new opportunities to players who are looking for strategic options.
ARIKA’s as-of-yet unnamed new Street Fighter EX-based fighter was one of many games featured at the 2017 Tokyo Game Show. At the show, alongside a new trailer showcasing Allen Snyder and a tease for Doctrine Dark, they also hosted a “Pro vs. Pro” exhibition featuring GRAPHT’s Fuudo and Alienware’s Nemo.
The exhibition showed both players trying out a number of characters — Fuudo played some Allen, Darun, and Skullomania, while Nemo played Kairi, Garuda, Hokuto, and also Skullomania. Overall, the exhibition gave a good indication of how the new title might end up playing in the hands of veteran competitors.
