He Is Power Made Flesh! Explore the Evolution of Street Fighter’s Akuma

He is the Supreme Master of the Fist, the Mountain Breaker, the Satsui no Hado-wielding Demon: Akuma, known on the Japanese side of the Street Fighter franchise as Gouki. Since first appearing as a surprise boss in Super Street Fighter II Turbo, he’s become a central pillar in the game series’ storyline, and a popular choice of fighter for those that can master such a glass cannon. The Raging Demon alone is worth the effort, as few super finishes are as satisfying!

Taking a break from the usual tournament and replay footage, XusesGB has put together this look at Akuma as he has appeared in the various games in the Street Fighter series to date, starting with SSF2T of course, through the Street Fighter Alpha series, into the SFIII series, and many more… even appearances in Street Fighter X Mega Man and Asura’s Wrath!

Will Akuma join the cast of Street Fighter V? The video asks the question, but there is no answer–yet.

Rashid SFVThe Wind Rises in this Street Fighter V Match Compilation for Takeuchi’s Rashid

Say what you will about r/Kappa, but they sure know how to pick a player. John Takeuchi is hot property at the moment following his win at First Attack. It made him the first Rashid player to pick up victory at a Major, and watching this match compilation, it’s pretty easy to see how he did it.

Before Smash 4 came out, Masahiro Sakurai said that he was nerfing Samus, the best character in the game. Muramishi finally makes the character look worthy of that sort of talk, thanks to some absolutely filthy setups.

ZeRo Offers Some Tips to Defeat Meta Knight for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U Beginners

Who better to advise newcomers to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U than the game’s winning streak World Record holder? Having completed his 1.1.6 patch tier list and justifying his top spot selection, TSM|ZeRo has returned to offering counter-tactics against members of the SSB4 roster, this time focusing on how to take down Meta Knight.

ZeRo discusses how important dashing in is to Meta Knight starting his combos, and advises keeping your distance, utilizing your projectiles or longer-ranged attacks to stay out of Meta Knight’s short range, and remaining near the edge to shorten his potential dash distance. Keep the Fight Unfair with These 2-on-1 Combos for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U

While the higher-level Super Smash Bros. for Wii U play is focused on the 1-on-1 tournament standard, best not to forget Smash’s party-game design roots–it’s still a fighter that supports up to four (or eight!) combatants. And if you find yourself in such a group brawl–maybe on a team, maybe a free-for-all–no point in keeping the fighting fair: not when you can combine forces and unleash scary 2-player combos like these!

Here’s Part 4 of the Beefy Smash Doods’ ongoing look at the fruits of the spirit of cooperation–or, what can happen when you gang up on some poor sap:
